To test this bold statement, I decided to give it a shot. The initial cost was just a dollar for a seven-day trial, followed by a reasonable $99 per month if I chose to continue. This fits well within my budget, and there’s a refund policy in case I need it, though I doubt I will.

What caught my attention is the numerous positive reviews about the service, which I thoroughly researched before committing to ensure it wasn’t a scam.

I’m sharing this review based on my personal experience with Build Your Empire University. I want to emphasize that I’m not affiliated with them, meaning I’m not being paid for this review.

Towards the end of this review, I’ll also introduce a better alternative that has helped me establish a full-time passive income online.

How Does Build Your Empire University Help You Make Money?

Build Your Empire University is a program that teaches how to make money online by promoting Enagic, a company selling water filter systems, through social media.

The training focuses on “attraction marketing” to attract others to join Enagic’s sales team. You’ll learn to build an impressive online presence so people approach you for more info.

Your main job is to convince others to become their own boss by buying Enagic’s pricey water filter systems. When they do, you earn commissions.

The course also shows how to use social media ads to boost these sales and turn it into a full-time gig.

To succeed, you’ll need to act as a sales manager, motivating your team to sell more. Enagic operates like a typical MLM, where distributors recruit others who then recruit more people.

Brodie Nitro, also known as Brodie SalNitro, is a co-founder of Build Your Empire University (BYEU). Before that, he worked with cosmetic clinics, dentists, and chiropractors. He teamed up with Ashley Taylor to create BYEU, which helps beginners in the digital world start their online careers without making the same mistakes Brodie did.

The program guides students to rebrand themselves and sell a lifestyle if they choose to join Brodie in promoting Enagic. Although not explicitly stated, this becomes the reality Brodie presents. His work travels in Thailand from his prior career are now part of the fantasy he sells through BYEU.

Brodie has openly discussed his troubled past in a 2020 podcast interview.

The group lacks accountability, and leaders don’t seem open to questions or criticism. It’s a bit of a concern.

No, Build Your Empire University is not a pyramid scheme. It’s a coaching program focused on motivation and fostering a healthy mindset to prepare students for their online careers.

Brodie is associated with an MLM (Enagic) and presents it as an option for those without their own business. If someone aims to make money within the first 7 days of joining, the opportunity to sell the water alkalizer for a commission is available.

Technically, even Enagic isn’t a pyramid scheme. Distributors can make money by selling water machines and turmeric supplements. Unlike pyramid schemes that reward recruiting, Enagic compensates for selling products.

However, it’s worth noting that Brodie’s training has strong MLM vibes, even if the term Multi-Level Marketing isn’t explicitly used.

It’s important to recognize that many people view MLMs as unethical, and in some places, they are considered illegal.

My Experience With Build Your Empire University

Having gone through the BYE University, here’s a breakdown:

To get started, there are three steps are involved in Build Your Empire University:

• Sign up for a $1 trial of all access
• Watch the videos and training modules to learn more
• To get started, contact a coach for a free consultation

Post the 7-day trial, your credit card is automatically charged $99 monthly. Don’t forget to set a phone reminder to avoid any unwelcome surprises when canceling your membership.

Here’s what you’ll actually get from BYE University:

• Mindset (brainwashing) training
• A training program with 100 videos that teach students how to use social media to sell Enagic’s products and recruit people to join Enagic’s team
• Private FB group
• Weekly live calls
• Ash and Brodie seem like good guys. In any case, they provide this type of training with as much value as they can. 

You will acquire some decent marketing and branding skills by using social media. In addition, you’ll learn how to make sales scale and how to use paid ads on social media. 

However, this doesn’t take away from the fact that you will basically learn how to fake it till you make it. To become a full-time sales manager for Enagic, your sole job is to recruit and recruit people into the MLM to sell these expensive water machines.

Enagic has eight water ionizer machines and a variety of Ukon (turmeric) supplements. 

The only thing these machines remove is chlorine. Water ionizers offer the following benefits (besides changing the pH of water):

• Relieves heartburn
• Diabetes, cancer, measles cured

Personally, I find much of this a bit wishy-washy. After reviewing some studies, it’s evident that more research is needed to support these health claims.

Enagic’s flagship product is the K8. It claims to offer a pH range from 2.5 to 11.

Advertised benefits include:

• Acidic 2.5 ph: remove the pesticide from food and disinfect
• 6.0pH: “beauty water” for skin and hair
• Alkaline 11pH: best for drinking

On a personal note, I didn’t buy into their idea, and I haven’t purchased any water machine. My interest lies more in understanding their funnel and how their scheme works.

Are Build Your Empire University Students Getting Results?

While I haven’t earned a penny from the program, some students at Build Your Empire University are sharing positive outcomes.

Those who engage in the training modules and coaching feel it has guided them toward the right mindset to kickstart their online careers and transform their lives.

For some, although not publicly disclosed, there’s a likelihood that their earnings are tied to purchases of Kangen machines and involvement in the MLM.

However, it’s worth noting that many success stories appear to be more about general positive sentiments rather than specific and tangible results.

However, even a glance at the Trustpilot website doesn’t provide much clarity…

It’s a bit disappointing not to find more recent reviews for a course that seems to be well-received and popular.

To give the course a try for the first 7 days, it’s just $1. If you decide to continue beyond the initial week, the monthly fee is $99.

The total expense for the entire course, covering materials and tuition, is $1188.

However, there are additional costs involved.

To become a distributor, you’ll need to buy a water purification system and present your unique ID card at checkout. This self-sale will cost you $4,980.

Alternatively, the program recommends purchasing the Enagic Trifecta, a bundle of three products, for $8630, promising better profits.

There are also extra monthly costs for email autoresponders and sponsored ads, which can add up to $500.

When you tally it all up, you’re looking at an overall cost of approximately $700.

The training’s refund policy is straightforward. You have an additional 7 days to request a refund for the first month.

However, once this period and subsequent months pass, refunds will not be issued under any circumstances.

However, not many folks want to take on the persona often associated with social media promotion, which might hinder their success.

There’s the option to present an idealized version of yourself online, even if it doesn’t match your reality, and reach out to as many people as possible, pushing them to “be their own boss,” despite not having earned anything substantial yet.

Some may even pressure people, who can’t afford it, into buying these costly machines, suggesting that the profits from this new “online business” will clear their debts swiftly (which is often a hope rather than a reality!).

The concept of faking it until you make it might feel odd if you never actually make a significant income.

While those undergoing BYE University training may find financial success, the ethical aspects of their methods might be questioned.

After the trial, accessing the training and Facebook group costs a monthly fee of $99, inclusive of weekly calls.

However, that’s not the end of the financial journey.

To dive into Enagic MLM, you need to invest a minimum of $1,980 in a machine, accompanied by ongoing monthly costs.

Breaking down the costs for BYE University’s programs:
