Since Matt claims to be an SEO expert, do you expect him to generate a lot of free traffic for this website?
I expected so. However, most of the time Matt is just running Facebook ads to promote its link-building service.

Affiliate Lab is pitching you their link-building services on their website Authority Builders.
Prices are so expensive, even the cheapest price to get a backlink will set you back $177.
But Google states clearly that paying for links that pass PageRank is against the Webmaster Guidelines and could harm a site’s ranking in search results.
If you are not penalized yet, it’s just because of luck.

Once Google penalizes your website, all your website content will be ranked lower, which will destroy all your traffic. All your time and efforts invested in the website will be wasted. It’s really a disaster.
Moreover, as Google’s algorithm becomes smarter because of artificial intelligence, the importance of backlinks is reducing. Google understands that backlinks are easy to manipulate.
Google is trying to focus on the relevancy and quality of content when deciding which one to rank higher.
Having relevant and high-quality backlinks is helpful for ranking higher on Google, but they are not essential for creating an authority site.
You will naturally receive backlinks from other websites as you create more quality content and rank for more keywords. Gradually, your domain authority will increase.

In fact, Matt is making most of his money from selling courses and backlinks, but not affiliate marketing. That makes the whole thing unconvincing.
You should always learn from the practitioner, meaning someone who has the most success in what they teach.
