  • The Best Alternative: An All-in-One Platform to Make Passive Income Online

In this Savage Affiliates review, I’m going to cover the following.

What is Savage Affiliates

The Savage Affiliates 2.0 training program is marketed as an affiliate marketing program that helps you become an income-generating affiliate veteran. You will learn how to build your website assets to generate passive income.

Affiliate marketing refers to a marketing strategy where affiliates earn commissions for promoting products of another company. When people find your site and click on your affiliate links, they are buying that company’s products, which means you make passive income since only a small amount of effort is required.

Franklin Hatchett claims to cover every topic that an affiliate marketer should know to become successful.

In this 10-module course, you will learn everything from creating a profitable online asset to harnessing a launch jacking strategy to generate traffic.

Since it was launched officially in 2018, Savage Affiliates has gone through a few major updates. Savage Affiliates 2.0, the most recent version, was released in 2020.

In addition to the course, you will be granted access to the private Savage Affiliates Facebook group. Over 30 hours of video content is available in this community, and it can guide you through each module.

Additionally, you need to understand how websites are built around specific topics. You can’t just create a website without any information on it.

Content for your site must be written by you or outsourced. Coding will not be required. Learning and hard work are the only things you need.

That’s what this course is all about.

Who Is Franklin Hatchett?

Savage Affiliates was created by Franklin Hatchett, an Affiliate Marketer and YouTube creator. His intention was to set up an informal training centre for his close friends.

franklin hatchett

In the process, he built one of the most popular affiliates marketing training platforms.

Among his other creations, Hatchett developed the eCom Elites program, which helps people start dropshipping business ventures.

Besides highlighting other ways to make money online, he also boasts over 370,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.

What Is Included in Savage Affiliates?

Here is what you will learn about Savage Affiliates 2.0.

Module 1 – Affiliate Products To Promote

During the first module, you will learn about niches and products you can promote for high commissions. Starting at this point is most beneficial for beginners so that they do not waste time and money choosing the wrong niche.

Franklin shows you how to find your profitable products through the best networks. Additionally, he gives pointers on how to create an affiliate site that will generate passive income for them to properly create online assets.

Module 2 – Build Your Website Asset

Franklin Hatchett delves deeper into the topic of building a solid foundation in Module 2. During this section, he discusses growing your website assets, including blog posts, landing pages, and web pages.

This section follows on from the first module and provides helpful tips for new affiliate marketers. Franklin explains how website creation works, including how to purchase a domain name and install important plugins to create web pages and landing pages.

The section also discusses the importance of building an email list for your business. Affiliate marketing involves email marketing, which gives you a channel through which to generate revenue.

Module 3 – Email Marketing & Sales Funnel Training

This module goes over email marketing and funnels in addition to where Franklin left off in the previous module.

Using email campaigns and newsletters is a standard skill in online marketing, and this module will show you how to do it.

According to Franklin, until you build your affiliate funnel for automatic commissions, you will focus on affiliate funnels and email marketing.

Franklin discusses how he uses autoresponders to recapture leads. GetResponse is an autoresponder-based email system for beginners.

Module 4 – ClickBank Affiliate Marketing Training

There are 31 videos in this section that cover everything you need to know about generating leads for your affiliate marketing business, from tax requirements to funnel building.

In particular, this module focuses on training you to navigate ClickBank. You can find high commission products by using this method. It will show you how to build a profitable ClickBank affiliate marketing website and how to build profitable ClickBank funnels.

To build a successful online business, Franklin discusses the process of finding the right product. Besides free traffic, he offers paid traffic blueprints. In addition, he includes funnels that are already done for you.

Module 5 – ClickFunnels Affiliate Marketing Training

Savage Affiliates’ Super Pack version only includes this two-part module. It contains 48 videos that take you through the process of building and executing a sales funnel.

This module teaches you how to master ClickFunnels (an online tool for building sales funnels), one of the hottest affiliate programs available today.

You will learn how Franklin uses ClickFunnels to create a $100,000 affiliate funnel. To prove his mastery over this affiliate program, he has a Two Comma Club award. Members of ClickFunnels who have earned at least $1 million dollars through a sales funnel are eligible to receive this award.

To demonstrate how real Franklin’s process is, he provides a case study. In order to understand the proper way to set up your funnel, he walks you through the lessons concisely.

With this module, you have access to Franklin’s funnel that earned him the ClickFunnels award. It explains how he gets traffic from free and paid sources for commissions, essentially giving you a blueprint to copy his process.

Module 6 – Amazon Affiliate Marketing Training

The goal of this module is to introduce you to Amazon’s affiliate program (the world’s largest) and show you how to navigate its affiliate network. Through 15 videos, you’ll discover how to create and promote profitable Amazon affiliate marketing websites.

Once you’re done, you will know how to structure and layout articles on your niche site while using the right keywords.

Module 7 – SEO Training

Franklin discusses both off-page SEO and on-page SEO in his book, which is essential to affiliate marketing. Off-page SEO focuses on factors of your site, while on-page SEO focuses on factors you do on your site.

Backlinks are also discussed in this section. You will learn how Franklin links back to his website using backlinks. You can learn how to generate traffic through this step-by-step tutorial.

Module 8 – Free Traffic Training

The discussion in this module picks up from the discussion in the SEO module but is a standalone topic. Franklin explains the differences between free traffic and SEO in this section.

He shows you how to gain free traffic with his methods. Free traffic can help you make commissions in affiliate marketing if you use it to promote your website.

This module discusses getting traffic from social media, forums, and YouTube (video marketing). With Franklin’s huge following on YouTube, you may learn more about his traffic there.

Module 9 – Paid Traffic Training

Three paid traffic sources are discussed in this module: Facebook ads, Google ads, and solo ads.

Facebook ads occupy the bulk of this section. The training will cover how to track and manage your Facebook campaigns, as well as how to download Facebook pixels for your website.

After that, Franklin introduces you to Google AdWords ads then solo advertisements, where you will discover the best leads. Paying for ads for instant results covers keyword targeting, tracking, audience selection, and finding the best sellers.

Module 10 – Launch Jacking And Web Hosting Blueprint

This module discusses launch jacking and web hosting.

Using launch jacking, you get to monetize future traffic floods. Franklin demonstrates how to achieve this attention for your blog or website.

Web hosting involves using their website to promote products and services. In Franklin’s program, you will learn how to make commissions by hosting a website.

9 Reasons Why I Don’t Recommend Savage Affiliates

1. Lack of Technical Support

You will probably require technical assistance sometimes if you are new to online marketing. Savage Affiliates, however, only offers courses, not technical support.

Therefore, if you encounter technical problems with your website, you have no one to contact. Newbies in online marketing should be concerned about this.

After paying so much for the course, you will feel helpless when you expect to receive all kinds of support.

My #1 recommended platform is different. You will get 24/7 technical support with your website.

They have a technical team standing by any time to help you when you encounter technical problems. It’s really like having hired a technical team. Also, there is a community of a million members there to help you out when you have questions.

2. The Course is Not Beginner-Friendly

If you are a beginner in online marketing, you will find the course pretty hard to follow. The course content is very overwhelming. They teach you a lot of strategies but you have no clue which one is the best and which one you should follow.

As for the ‘super’ version of the course, it is designed for affiliate marketers with more experience.

Also, a lot of the small details are not covered by the course, which is however important for newbies. After paying so much for the course, you still need to Google many things to solve the problems yourself.

3. Insufficient Community Support

If you join Savage Affiliates, you can get access to a private Facebook group. However, most of the time, the members aren’t helpful and your questions will be ignored and remain unresolved. You may feel helpless especially if you are just a beginner.

There’s sometimes a little question you will need answering straight away and a good support network is crucial for this.

I have a better recommendation for you in the later section, where you can get community support from millions of members. There is always someone there to answer your question around the clock.

4. Misleading Claims

Frank frequently claims big things that aren’t true upon closer examination.

One of Frank’s videos from October 2019 with over 500,000 views:

In the video, Frank says he will teach you how to make $500 per day by pasting web links into a browser.

Here are his recommendations:

  • Create an account on ClickBank and promote a product
  • Register for a free account at
  • Advertise your affiliate link along with your free ad

Frank has not provided any evidence that he’s tried and tested this exact method and earned money from it.

A few people reported making $120 from the video, but most, including myself, didn’t make a single sale.

In other words, I and about 499,998 other people wasted their time on that gimmick.

5. Expensive Upsells

Savage Affiliates’ sales page does not make it obvious that students are advised to spend more money on additional products and services after they buy the course.

Within the course, Frank does teach how to do affiliate marketing for free, but these methods are limited.

Savage Affiliates recommends the following paid products and services:

  • ClickFunnels – $97 a month- (not necessary until you have created a product and have your own business up and running- you can test a funnel with Elementor & Mailchimp for free)
  • Keysearch – $17-$34 a month (keyword research tool)
  • Hosting and domain (Bluehost is known for its high affiliate payout. It seems cheap for the first year, but then it gets expensive, and the support is terrible, and the speed is terrible. I’d recommend Namecheap or Siteground over Bluehost.)
  • Getresponse – $15+ a month (Email autoresponder)
  • Thrive Leads ($67)
  • Ahrefs ($7 for 7 days, then $99/month)
  • Ads – $100+ a month (people waste their time and money on ads, and affiliate marketing is almost impossible with ads like this!)

In contrast, a better alternative that I will talk about later is much cheaper. You will get comprehensive training, domain registration, web hosting, writing tools etc with a low subscription fee (the first month is just $19!)

It’s much cheaper and easier to get started when compared with Savage Affiliates.

6. Link Building is Time-Consuming and Risky

It’s true that backlinks can boost your Google ranking, but proactive link building is dangerous.

Although Savage Affiliates teaches the white hat technique to build links, it might still breach Google’s rules in the future.

Google changes its algorithm or rules from time to time, so techniques that seem legit today might become a violation.

Here’s an article of Google which talk about link schemes:

Savage Affiliates Review – Is Franklin Hatchett a Scam?

Once Google penalises your website, all your website content will be ranked lower, which will destroy all your traffic. All your time and efforts invested in the website will be wasted. It’s really a disaster.

Moreover, as Google’s algorithm becomes smarter because of artificial intelligence, the importance of backlinks is reducing. Google understands that backlinks are easy to manipulate.

Google is trying to focus on the relevancy and quality of content when deciding which one to rank higher.

That’s why my #1 recommended platform does not encourage proactive link building. There is no reason to take the risk and do something that might go outdated a few years later.

Although relevant and high-quality backlinks are helpful for ranking higher on Google, they are not essential to creating an authority site.

You will naturally receive backlinks from other websites as you create more quality content and rank for more keywords. As time goes by, your domain authority will increase gradually.

It is not necessary to actively seek links from other websites. Google doesn’t encourage this practice because actively begging for backlinks is trying to game the algorithm of Google. Google is getting smarter to spot this out and penalise websites.

7. Lack of Successful Stories of Students

While Savage Affiliates claims that a lot of their students see results from the training, there is no verified evidence to show this.

You may see some reviews posting screenshots from their Facebook group as proof of the success stories. But there is no way to verify if those are true results or not.

Also, some students who joined Savage Affiliates are not beginners, and they already have a well-established website before joining. So their results might not be attributed to the training of Savage Affiliates. That means even if some do get results, it’s unlikely that you can do the same if you are a complete newbie.

Moreover, while Savage Affiliates teaches people how to make money with affiliate sites, most of Franklin’s revenue comes from his courses instead of affiliate marketing. That makes the whole thing not convincing at all.

8. Savage Affiliates Doesn’t Have A Huge Volume of Organic Traffic

The website of Savage Affiliates is

Upon looking it up, you will find that it is nothing more than a sales page. There isn’t even a blog section, which is crucial to SEO because blogs can generate free traffic to a website.

The founder Franklin Hatchett claims to teach people to build a website and drive traffic through Search Engine Optimization.

However, his own website only has around 100 organic traffic every month. This is a joke when compared with other SEO experts on the market.

Savage Affiliates Review – Is Franklin Hatchett a Scam?

So how do Savage Affiliates reach a wide audience? I guess it’s because Savage Affiliates has spent a lot of money on running Facebook ads. If that’s so, it’ll be sarcastic because they are teaching you how to drive traffic by SEO.

If you learn from Savage Affiliates, how much organic traffic can you expect for your website? Probably 1/10 or even less. Websites with such traffic volume are impossible to make a full-time income.

9. No Free Trial

There is no free trial for the Savage Affiliates course. You have to pay $197 to get started with the standard package.

The risk is much higher in case you don’t like the course or don’t feel good about it. Although they offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, there are some procedures or criteria to get your money back.

For example, you need to implement every step of the training to prove that they don’t work. But a month would have passed long after you had finished the whole thing. You won’t get a refund, then.

However, my #1 recommended platform has a free membership plan, where you can get access to the first level training and even build a free website.

If you like it and feel good to go further, you can then upgrade to the premium plan at a 50% discount for the first month. So you don’t need to worry about making a bad investment.

Is Savage Affiliates A Scam?

Savage Affiliates is not a scam. Their course does offer some value. If you buy their courses, you can learn how to do affiliate marketing for sure.

However, none of their training is particularly useful.

Members are also encouraged to use ClickFunnels, which costs $97 per month and may not be an ideal solution for beginners without a business/product to promote. Franklin will make a lot of his money from this source.

Besides, I don’t prefer their focus on Clickbank. The ClickBank marketplace is losing more and more products each week and is now losing approximately 20 products per week.

The products that remain are often highly controversial, and some have been labelled as scams.

The praise for Savage Affiliates you’ll find online is not very specific. Their students don’t seem to make much money from affiliate marketing.

Also, Savage Affiliates is making the most money from selling their courses, but not affiliate marketing. That makes the whole thing unconvincing. You should always learn from the practitioner, meaning someone who has the most success in what they teach.

In fact, there is no reason to go for Savage Affiliates when there are other better alternatives, which are much cheaper, but offer you much more value and can help you succeed faster.

I will tell more about my #1 recommended platform in the next section.
