Who is Mikey Kass?

Mikey Kass is an Internet entrepreneur in his early twenties. He started dropshipping back in junior high school when he set up an online store under his mother’s name because he was too young to do it himself. Surprisingly, within the first week of launching his online store, he made an impressive $30,000 in sales.

However, his rapid rise in the business world raised concerns for his parents. They took legal action to investigate his business activities. Mikey found himself under police surveillance, followed by private investigators, and facing inquiries from lawyers, all trying to figure out how a teenager had achieved a six-figure income.

Even his school principal contacted his parents because his grades were dropping, as Mikey’s focus was solely on his growing dropshipping business.

By 17 years old, Mikey decided to drop out of high school and moved to a home in the Hollywood Hills. However, despite his early success with Shopify stores, it wasn’t always smooth sailing. It took him almost four months to consistently earn $10,000 per month in sales.

Despite these setbacks, Mikey didn’t give up and eventually reached a monthly income of $150,000 through dropshipping. After maintaining this impressive consistency for a year, he decided to share his knowledge by creating ‘The Ecom Good Life’ course, where he teaches people how he earned $653,000 from a single store in just four months.

What is Mikey Kass’s Net Worth?

Today, Mikey has a substantial online presence with over 11.7k subscribers on his Mikey Kass YouTube channel, and his videos have collectively received over 210,000 views. It’s estimated that he has a net worth of $1 million.

If you want to get a taste of his teaching style, you can watch the video below:

What’s Inside The Ecom Good Life Course?

As with most dropshipping courses, Ecom Good Life has a series of video lessons where Mickey shares his strategies. Here’s what you’ll find inside the course:

Facebook/Instagram Ads

Mikey kicks off the course by teaching you the ins and outs of advertising on Facebook and Instagram. These platforms are key in dropshipping, as they can help you get more eyes on your products.

The more people see your ads, the higher your chances of making sales. Plus, it’s important to note that the videos and strategies in this section are regularly updated to keep you in the loop.

Shopify Store Creation

In this section, Mikey guides you through the process of building your very own Shopify store right from the beginning.

He shows you how to navigate the platform and set up your brand.

Winning Product Research

Section 3 is all about product research. Mikey shares essential methods for finding winning products and helps you compare them to determine which ones are more likely to deliver good results.

He’s upfront about the fact that not every product you list will sell well. This training focuses on improving your chances of finding products that perform.

Mindset

Section 4 focuses on developing the right mindset for your dropshipping business journey. Mikey also provides insights on how to locate and hire a team to help you scale your business effectively.

Music Playlist

Something unique about this course is that Mikey shares his personal music playlist.

It includes the tunes that motivate him while he’s busy building his Shopify stores. It’s a little touch you won’t find in many other online courses.

Are Students Getting Results with The Ecom Good Life?

The Ecom Good Life’s sales page features several noteworthy success stories from students, including:

Michael Mason

Michael Mason, who initially had only $600 to his name after unsuccessful product ventures. Mikey Kass provided him with his first product, and in just 54 days, Michael scaled his business to a remarkable $80,000 in revenue. Today, Michael’s dropshipping business consistently generates over $300,000 in monthly sales, attributing his success to Mikey’s strategies.

Nate Lauer

Nate Lauer, another student, was already making sales through Facebook ads but struggled to turn a profit. Implementing the Facebook ad strategies from The Ecom Good Life, Nate managed to scale his business to over $10,000 in monthly sales.

However, there’s a notable complaint on Reddit from what seems to be a legitimate student. He expressed a desire to withdraw from the course but was denied a refund, even though he was within the refund period.

Praise for The Ecom Good Life

1. Mikey’s Proven Track Record

Mikey Kass, the course creator, has a remarkable track record. He has generated over 7-figures in revenue through dropshipping, showcasing his expertise. With this course, you can replicate Mikey’s successful Shopify store layout.

2. Incredible Discount

The Ecom Good Life offers an exceptional discount. Originally priced at $497, the course is now available for just $17. This massive reduction in price makes it an affordable option for anyone interested in e-commerce.

Criticism of The Ecom Good Life

1, Limited Marketing Focus

The course primarily focuses on Facebook and Instagram marketing, neglecting other crucial e-commerce marketing strategies. To succeed in the e-commerce industry, you often need to master a variety of platforms like Google Ads, Google Shopping, email marketing, and SEO. The course’s narrow scope may leave students unprepared for the broader e-commerce landscape.

2. Unnecessary Extras

The inclusion of mindset training and music playlists in the course may not appeal to everyone. While these elements can be enjoyable, marketing them as primary course features may mislead potential students. Many prefer practical, actionable content in an e-commerce course.

3. Overstated Earning Potential

Mikey’s course makes bold claims about achieving six-figure incomes with dropshipping, but this may not align with reality. Dropshipping is a highly competitive field where success demands substantial time, effort, and resources. In practice, many dropshippers actually incur losses due to high advertising costs.

How Much Does Ecom Good Life Cost?

Previously priced at $497, Mikey has now reduced the cost to just $17.

Refund Policy

Mikey offers a 7-day, money-back guarantee, provided that you haven’t completed more than 20% of the course.

Is Mikey Kass a Scam?

No, Mikey Kass is not a scam, Mikey Kass is known as one of the younger entrepreneurs in dropshipping, though there is no concrete evidence to verify his claims.

It’s worth questioning whether you’d trust an 18-year-old who says he made over $653k in just 4 months from a single store. Such figures can sound unrealistic, and it’s essential to approach them with skepticism.

Sometimes, it’s difficult to confirm whether reported earnings are genuine. In dropshipping, it’s possible to create numerous orders for a Shopify store, but this doesn’t necessarily equate to profit.

Often, income proof doesn’t account for the substantial Facebook ads costs, which can devour a significant portion of revenue.

It raises eyebrows when someone claims to have the secret to dropshipping success and offers it to others. If Mikey truly possessed a million-dollar secret, why would he disclose it? This aspect may seem questionable.

Even if Mikey had success in the past, it doesn’t guarantee the same results for you today. The world of online marketing and dropshipping is rapidly evolving, rendering some older marketing strategies ineffective. What worked a few years ago may not work in the current landscape.

5 Challenges of Dropshipping

1. Quality Control Hurdles

Maintaining product quality in dropshipping can be challenging. Since you can’t inspect items personally, ensuring they match their descriptions becomes difficult. This may lead to customer dissatisfaction due to issues like late delivery, broken products, incorrect or missing items, and more. Handling customer concerns, which are often beyond your control, can result in lost revenue and negative feedback.

2. Limited Branding Opportunities

Dropshipping restricts your branding options, as all products and services are attributed to your suppliers and distributors. Building a distinct brand identity can be challenging, as your customers associate your offerings with other companies.

3. Customer Service Complexities

Managing customer service in dropshipping can be complex. Addressing product quality, delivery timeliness, or return issues may require coordination with suppliers. Delays caused by supplier inefficiencies can lead to frustrated customers. Communicating between customers and suppliers can extend resolution times, potentially driving customers to competitors.

4. Intense Market Competition

The dropshipping market is highly competitive due to its low entry barriers. Many businesses offer the same products from the same suppliers, fostering price wars. Larger companies can afford to reduce prices, while smaller businesses may struggle to attract customers without compromising their profits.

5. Thin Profit Margins

Dropshipping businesses often face low profit margins. Starting with minimal website traffic and purchasing products individually rather than in bulk can reduce profitability. Additional fees from wholesalers for picking, packing, and shipping each customer order further erode margins. It may take time and a substantial customer base to increase prices and realize significant financial gains.

Is Dropshipping Still Profitable?

Dropshipping can be profitable, but it comes with certain challenges and considerations you should be aware of.

Before you start making money in dropshipping, you need to understand the effort it demands. You’ll have to invest time in finding the right niche and sourcing high-quality products. Creating effective ads that convert leads into customers is essential, as is providing quality customer service.

It’s important to note that the cost of paid advertising is increasing each year. Platforms like Meta, Google, and TikTok are seeing rising CPM (Cost Per Mille) rates due to heightened competition. This means ads are becoming more expensive, and if you can’t keep up with competitive pricing, your sales may suffer.

Dropshipping typically offers profit margins in the range of 10% to 40%. This might seem low because you need to factor in various expenses, including ad spend, product costs, sourcing and shipping, and handling returns. For instance, if you achieve $10,000 in sales, your profit may only be between $1,000 and $4,000 at best.

In dropshipping, product trends come and go quickly. To maintain profitability, you’ll need to continually search for the next winning product. This process can be time-consuming and requires constant adaptation.

Do I Recommend The Ecom Good Life?

In short, I don’t recommend The Ecom Good Life, even with the reduced price from $497 to just $17. While the lower cost might seem appealing, it’s crucial to assess whether the course provides real value.

It’s important to remember that what worked for Mikey in the past may not work in today’s ever-changing e-commerce and Facebook ads landscape.

This course lacks comprehensive guidance on building a successful dropshipping business. You can find similar information for free by following dropshipping experts on YouTube.

Keep in mind that dropshipping doesn’t typically offer passive income, and earnings can be unpredictable. Success in this field requires a clear understanding of the challenges and uncertainties involved.

Is There A Better Way to Make Money Online?

If you want to make a full-time passive income, I’d suggest you to start an affiliate marketing business online.

In affiliate marketing, you can run your business almost at zero cost without any trouble from sourcing products or managing inventory.

Also, since you don’t need to spend hours after hours selling things over the phone, it can save you a lot of time.

If you want to learn affiliate marketing, I’d recommend you to get started with the most reputable platform for affiliate marketing: Wealthy Affiliate.

Wealthy Affiliate is an all-in-one platform for building your affiliate marketing business from scratch. It offers you a free account (including a free website) with comprehensive training on SEO (free traffic methods), which enables you to get started with affiliate marketing right away without paying a penny.

But How Much Can You Earn with Wealthy Affiliate?

A 21-year old student from Wealthy Affiliate was able to earn $7,395 in just 1 week, which means he made more than $1k a day…all while using free traffic methods.

  6. My name is Jeremy Leonard. I am a mortgage broker by day and a drop shipper by night. I have been building my MyToolBoxx (“https://mytoolboxx.com”) store for 4 months now and I came across Mikey Kass & his team. I actually have an appointment with them at 12:30 pm which is in 30 minutes from now to see what this is all about. I then came across this posting so of course, I am a little skeptical of his course. For $17 and for an additional $29.99 i was able to secure a meeting with them, a shopify store and a bonus set of items i am currently trying to locate lol. They have already designed and set me up with a beauty dropshipping store which honestly doesn’t look too bad. I will attend the meeting with them and then leave another comment on here with the results of this meeting. I dont plan on spending any money with them upfront as soon as someone asks me for even $1 extra I will be turned off by this whole sale. to be continued…

  7. Mikey’s parents are right to feel suspicious of him because he is a scammer. The only thing he did was sell a useless ecom course. Indeed, I wonder if he made up the story himself. Ecommerce gurus are generally good storytellers.

  8. Mikey Kass is a scammer I requested a refund because I realized I made an impulsive decision and requested a refund for the $997 mentoring the next morning after I purchased. They refused and told me I would have to do 50% of the work in 7 days or there would be no refund. I hadn’t even received my store yet, just videos to watch, no 1 on 1 call, nothing yet. And still won’t get a refund.

  10. Mikey Kass is a big scam. Don’t trust his words.

  13. Unfortunately i fell for their “good life” SCAM also and they told me beyond the $500 they already got from me, they would need $1500 more to make it work, so, then i asked for my initial $500 money back within the 3 days right to recend the contract, by texting the whole Mikey Kass team, they all ghosted me, but i also sent the request for a refund by email to their support, and i got an auto reply acknowledging the text and nothing more. So i contact my Capital One credit card company and said i need to start a reversal of the charges, so now they reply to that and say i accessed all of their crap courses and i did not request a refund until 20 days later, so i uploaded copies of my emails to my Capital One credit card folks , and the dammed Capital One folks, who all have foreign accents, tell me that my copies of emails showing them that Mikey Kass Team is lying, was not proof enough, and that they believe those felony criminal liars, so i tell Capital One that they are aiding & abetting Felony Theft, and they reply that they do not care. So now i got another Capital One Criminal action against me as well. ECOM THEFT LIFE should be their name for the scammers, as well as Capital One Company name too! pdwin(nineteenseventyfive)@gmail is where u can verify all that
