Are you looking for a review of Ryan Rigney’s FBA Sales Accelerator? If you want to start an Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) business, you might want to find a mentor to help you out.
But since there are many gurus teaching Amazon FBA, you may wonder if Ryan Rigney is a scam or not.
I have a passion to help people explore the best and easiest way to make money online. Over the years, I’ve written hundreds of reviews to help future entrepreneurs make the best decision in business.
As a disclaimer, I’m not affiliated with Ryan Rigney, which means I’m not paid to write this review. So you can be sure that my words are unbiased and honest.
At the end of this article, I’ll also tell you a much easier alternative that has enabled me to make a full-time passive income online.
In this FBA Traffic & Funnel Mastery (FBA Sales Accelerator) review, I’m going to cover the following.
Who is Ryan Rigney?
Ryan Rigney didn’t plan to become an entrepreneur at the beginning. He was actually a law student and was going to become a lawyer.
He began selling on Amazon while in law school. He made full use of his time by passing the bar exam and making money from Amazon. He even hired a team of virtual assistants to help him manage the Amazon FBA business.
Ryan Ridney’s interesting story was featured by some media like Actualize Freedom, Helium 10, Zon Guru, AM PM Podcast etc.
Ryan offers the FBA Sales Accelerator (Coaching program), FBA Traffic and FUnnel Mastery (Online Course) and BoostRooster (Software) to help people make money on Amazon.
Below, I will talk about his online course and see if you should enrol or not.
In case you don’t know what is Amazon FBA, here’s the video for you:
What is FBA Traffic & Funnel Mastery (FBA Sales Accelerator)?
In the FBA Traffic & Funnel Mastery, Ryna Rigney will teach you the basics of making money on Amazon.
There are around 14.5 hours of video content. A lot of the content in the course is written. Some people may like reading but I personally like watching video demonstrations.
So what can you expect to gain from FBA Traffic & Funnel Mastery?
Ryan Rigney will teach you how to drive traffic to your Amazon store via PPC campaigns, optimize your Amazon product listing, and scale your Amazon business.
Here are the modules in the course:
Module 1: Branding
In this module, Ryan Rigney will teach you how to do branding for your Amazon store. He said that this can make your Amazon business more sustainable.
He doesn’t recommend people to build a brand based on keywords for listing on Amazon’s organic search. He wants people to get external traffic directly to your Amazon store.
Module 2: Optimizing Your Pages for Amazon and Google
This module is about researching keywords for your product on Amazon. For example, he will cover the title optimization, Amazon predicted search, and how often to include keywords.
For the product title, he recommends using both brand name and the best keywords.
He will teach you how to start with low hanging fruit in order to get a higher ranking on Amazon listing.
Module 3: Facebook Ads
In this module, Ryan Rigney will talk about how to use Facebook ads. For example, he will cover how to name your ad campaigns and ad sets, how to use the Facebook ad power editor, how to do different types of Facebook campaigns etc.
Module 4: Amazon PPC
This module is about Amazon’s sponsored ads. Ryan Rigney will teach you how to structure your campaign, do the keyword research and set up your campaign.
Module 5: Reviews
In this module, Ryan Rigney will talk about how to get a review for your products. Many Amazon sellers are trying to get fake reviews, but this is against the terms of Amazon and hence you might be banned.
Ryan Rigney will tell you the strategies by using some tools to get reviews, such as ManyChat or emails.
Module 6: Increasing Traffic and Marketing Your Product
This module has 3 parts:
Part 1: Generating and Maintaining Organic Traffic to Your Product Listing
Part 2: Foundational Email Marketing in the 21st Century
Part 3: Automating Your Email Campaign Initiatives
Module 7: Dynamic Retargeting
In this last module, Ryan Rigney will introduce different ad types and teach you how to do dynamic retargeting ads.
He claims to have increased the click-through rate by 20% by using dynamic retargeting ads.
FBA Traffic & Funnel Mastery (FBA Sales Accelerator) Pricing
FBA Traffic & Funnel Mastery is quite expensive. It costs $497.
Since a lot of the information can be found online for free. I think this course is a bit overpriced. There are other better alternatives that are much cheaper.
FBA Traffic & Funnel Mastery (FBA Sales Accelerator) Pros and Cons
- Some tactics are quite useful such as generating reviews.
- The course has a Facebook group for discussion
- Can learn the basics of Amazon FBA
- Some course content is outdated and may not work right now
- The course is a bit overpriced.
Is Ryan Rigney a Scam?
I cannot say Ryan Rigney is a scam. At least, I don’t have sufficient evidence to say so. Ryan Rigney is a successful Amazon seller and does know the stuff.
However, if you are new to online business and want to make money online, I don’t recommend Ryan Rigney’s course or coaching.
The reason is that Ryan Rigney’s strategies might not work now. He was a successful Amazon seller a few years ago. But in recent years, his major focus is on selling his online courses. So if you learn from him, you might not be able to learn the most updated information about Amazon FBA.
Moreover, Ryan Rigney refuses to tell you the difficulties of selling on Amazon. It’s hard to make a penny on Amazon FBA because of intense competition.
In the next section, I will tell you why Amazon FBA is not an easy business model to start for newbies.
Problems of Ryan Rigney’s Amazon FBA Business Model
Here are the problems that Ryan Rigney doesn’t tell you because he is selling you the course.
1. FBA business needs a large upfront cost.
To launch a business on Amazon, you will need $15-20k, at least.
Moreover, you have to spend money on testing a number of products in order to find out that winning product. This means you have to create listings for different products and filter out best selling products from the unremarkable ones.
This process is time-consuming and costs a lot of money. So, you must think carefully if you really want to risk your hard-earned money.
2. FBA Business is sophisticated
You have to face a lot of challenges in Amazon FBA. For instance, you’ll have to negotiate with suppliers, make comparisons on shipping companies, freight forwarders and comply with the regulations of Amazon and local governments, etc. This process is too sophisticated for beginners who might be just looking for a side hustle or a source of passive income that requires little time and investment.
3. There is no quick cash flow
Cash flow is the lifeblood of a business. However, in the Amazon FBA business model, mostly sellers have to invest a considerable amount of money to purchase inventories from suppliers in China.
If you want to create a unique private label product, the costs will be even higher. For example, most manufacturers in China charge you a few hundred dollars just for creating a prototype. If you don’t trust me, you can ask for a price on Alibaba.com.
In most cases, production may take 1-2 months depending on the nature of the products and quantity. Afterwards, it takes 2 weeks in shipment and customs clearance before arriving at Amazon warehouse.
This process indicates that it can take up to months before you’re paid for the inventory you bought.
4. Price war reduces profitability
Price war is ubiquitous on Amazon. Whenever a seller tries to attract more customers by lowering the prices, other sellers will be forced to cut their prices as well.
To avoid a net loss, you might have to cut the product costs. This results in lower product quality, negative feedback from customers and hence a drop in sales.
Apart from the intense competition, you have to deal with changing sales tax laws, category restrictions and Amazon policies.
In the worst case, Amazon might even ban your account permanently if you mistakenly violate some rules.
Is There An Easier and Better Alternative to Ryan Rigney To Make Money Online?
If you’re new to online business, you might wonder if there’s a better business model that doesn’t need initial capital and can do it as a side-hustle.
Of all the business models I’ve tried, affiliate marketing is the easiest and most rewarding so far. It is less time consuming since you don’t have to manage inventory or handle customer service.
It can help you to generate a steady stream of passive income while going on vacation or working a full-time job.
Since the world is full of uncertainty, I’d always choose a business model that has the lowest risk.
But How Much Can You Earn in Affiliate Marketing?
