Have you ever watched the Facebook ads of JR Rivas? If so, you might wonder where he comes from or whether his course is legit.
If you happen to click into the ad, you will get to a sales page where there is a short training video explaining how to convert 10 to 15 prospects into customers for your marketing agency with a $20 budget per day.
More than that, he’s showing you how to automate the process.
Does that sound too good to be true? Before you book a call with JR Rivas, let’s take a look at his background and everything about his course.
Since I’m not affiliated with him, you can rest assured that my review is genuine and unbiased.
At the end of this article, I’ll also tell you a much better alternative that can really generate six-figures passive income at zero cost.
Below is what I’ll cover in the review of JR Rivas and his programme 47 Day Agency Formula.
Who is JR Rivas?
Growing up in a single-parent household, JR has always been desperate for success so that he and his mum no longer have to move around different states, without money to pay for the basic necessities.
At 18 years old, JR ventured into tax business because he knew that college is not a path towards financial freedom.
After some failures with his tax business, he decided to start over again with online marketing and this time he successfully created three six-figures businesses, coaching over 500 students across 47 countries on how to replicate his success.
Over the years, he has produced multiple training programmes, such as FAcebook Ads For Real Estate and Personal Brand Profits.
As the businesses flourished, he got much busier than before.
That’s the moment when he took his friend’s advice and found a VA who was so competent yet only asked for $3 dollars per hour.
This experience gives birth to the course 47 Day Agency Formula.
What To Expect in The Course?
JR will show you a step process in the course that claims to help you scale your business with the help of virtual assistants.
Below are the steps you’ll learn in the course:
- How to find the best virtual assistants
- Why you can pay $3 per hour to a VA
- How to set boot camp for VAs
- The benefits of niching down
What’s Inside JR’s 47 Day Agency Formula?
Step 1: How to Find the Best Virtual Assistants
How to find the top 1% VAs? According to JR, the secret is to have a stern process on screening.
Below is a 5 step process which he used to screen the VAs:
- English Speaking Ability – This is especially important as you don’t want your virtual assistants to misunderstand your instruction and communicate with your clients in the wrong way
- Internet Connection – This can ensure that the operation of your business can run smoothly
- Competency – Imagine if it takes a long time for them to learn the routine tasks, that’s horrible.
- Background Check – This process of due diligence can screen out the crooks who might steal your business information
- Reliability – So that you can rest assured that everything is done perfectly
After the ideal candidate is selected, you can move on to introduce yourself and sign off on the decision.
Last but not least, you’ll need to hire a dedicated account manager who can support your VAs on a regular basis.
Step 2: Agency Appointment Setting Boot Camp
At this point, JR teaches you how to train your VAs to acquire customers and generate revenue for your business.
You can use the platforms of Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Loom videos, emails, cold calls or SMS to reach out to your potential clients.
The VAs will be given a script that JR and his team have put together over time to generate leads for your business.
But how can you hire someone for $3 an hours? According to JR, the average income in the Philippines is a bit more than $7000 a year.
Therefore your pay is already a good deal for them.
But I doubt if the Philipinos can really prospect for you because most of them have a strong accent.
Step 3: Niching Down To Create A Simple System For Automating Fulfillment
In this session, JR teaches you to focus on one niche and test what offers and targeting would work on Facebook ads.
Niching down will help your virtual assistants be much more productive and it gives you an image of authority in the field.
It makes the process of scaling your agency easier and possibly automates the prospecting process.
Coaching Calls from JR Rivas
After you’ve purchased the course, you’ll receive an onboarding call from JR Rivas who will discuss with you the niche, offer strategy and everything you need to scale your agency.
Apart from that, you’ll have access to 2 weekly coaching calls where you can talk to JR Rivas about the changes or any new ideas.
There’s also a group chat in the private Facebook group and a section with video lessons that covers the topics of niche selection, client acquisition, sales, fulfillment, retention, automation and outsourcing, the most important things to successfully run a digital marketing agency.
JR guarantees that if you see any return on your initial investment in 6 months, you can get a full refund while keeping the training materials at no cost.
Yes, you need to test his model for six months to be eligible for a refund. Not a bad deal?
Is JR Rivas a Scam?
JR Rivas is not a scam. But I won’t recommend this course to you.
The sales pitch makes everything sound so easy. For example, JR Rivas promises you that you can set up your ad in 20 minutes to generate appointments with prospects who are ready to buy.
Yes, you can set up a Facebook ad campaign in 20 minutes, but he doesn’t tell you that the ad cost is so expensive and sometimes it takes up to $35 dollars to acquire just a lead, with a conversion rate of 10%, at best. That means $350 for a deal.
But if the virtual assistant is not good at closing, then the conversion rate will be even lower.
JR said he will provide your VAs with a sales script to get prospects to say “yes”. That sounds too good to be true because everyone knows that high ticket closing is a high income skill.
You won’t be able to hire a good closer at $3 per hour.
Below are the problems with JR’s business model that he doesn’t tell you:
- It’s a lengthy process to find good virtual assistants in the Philippines. If the VA really excels at closing, he would have worked as a high ticket closer instead of living on $3 per hour.
- The cost of running Facebook ads is skyrocketing. In another word, your client has less money to pay for you since they’re covering the ad spend.
- The learning curve of Facebook ads is steep. How can you expect a $3 VA to master the techniques in a week? So it’s impossible to automate this process and you have to monitor the ads, the cost, the conversions and split-testing on your own; otherwise you will lose out a lot of money. In the worst cases, your ad account might be banned if your VAs inadvertently violated some rules on Facebook.
- It doesn’t make sense to pay your VAs on time rates. They won’t have any incentive to prospect for you since there is no commission.
In short, you will only get into trouble when trying to outsource every task to your virtual assistants.
Instead of training a group of VAs who will only leave you for better paid jobs once they become more competent, I’d rather start with an easier business model that can generate passive income without any VAs.
Is There an Easier and Better Alternative to Make Passive Income?
If you are new to online business, you may ask if there is an easier and better alternative to JR Rivas’ course.
Yes, I would suggest you getting started with affiliate marketing on my #1 recommended training platform. Of all the business models I’ve tried, affiliate marketing is by far the easiest but most rewarding.
It is far less time consuming as you don’t even need to handle customer service or talk to any prospects over the phone. You can even do it as a side hustle and quit your job later.
In affiliate marketing, you can run your business almost with zero cost.
Most importantly, you don’t need to invest in testing or running Facebook ads or training any virtual assistants who might actually ruin your business.
That way, you don’t have any risk to start your first online business.
But How Much Can You Earn in Affiliate Marketing?
A 21-year old student from my #1 recommended training platform of affiliate marketing was able to earn $7,395 in just 1 week, which means he made more than $1k a day…all while using free traffic methods and affiliate marketing.
