Are you looking for a Class With Jeff review? If you want to make money online, you might have heard of Charlie Brandt. But you may wonder if he is a scam.
It’s my passion to help people learn about online money-making opportunities. Over the years, I’ve reviewed a number of programs and software like 100k Academy by Charlie Brandt.
In the past week, I have thoroughly researched Charlie Brandt’s 100k Academy so I can tell you more about it.
As a disclaimer, I’m not affiliated with Charlie Brandt. It means I’m not paid to write this review. So you can be sure that my words are unbiased.
At the end of this review, I’ll also tell you a better alternative that has enabled me to make a full-time passive income online.
In this 100k Academy Review, I’m going to cover the following.
What is 100k Academy?
Charlie Brandt’s 100k Academy (also known as 100k Launch And Scale) is an eCommerce course.
There are 17 modules in this course, which is quite comprehensive.
The following is a breakdown of what you get in each:
Module 1: The Introduction
A typical introduction module is the first module. You’ll be introduced to 100K Academy and shown Charlie’s store, as well as getting some preparation/mindset training.
Module 2: Product Research
By the end of this module, you should have developed a good sense of what makes a good niche (market you want to sell in) and what products to sell. You will get an overview of various research strategies and tools that will help you as well.
Module 3: Store Set-Up
Module 3 focuses on setting up your store. In it, you’ll discover how to build it on Shopify, one of the most popular dropshipping platforms. You’ll be following Charlie as he creates his store and learning which apps are essential.
Module 4: Technical Setup
The purpose of this section is to help you set up your Merchant Center. This will allow your products to appear on Google.
Module 5: Copy MY 10k Per Day Landing Page
There are 12 videos in total in this section, which covers how to set up a landing page for optimum conversions.
Module 5 includes the following:

Module 7: The 10k Growth
In this section, you will find a variety of different topics. You will learn about suppliers, SEO, and demographic targeting.
Module 8 to 10: Google Shopping
These modules will teach you how to use Google Shopping as a marketing tool so that you can increase sales. You will learn conversion tricks to get the most sales possible from this platform.

- How to scale your campaigns
Facebook Group And Future Updates
The course comes with two bonuses – access to the private Facebook Group and all future updates.
You can connect with other students in the private Facebook group.
The most important thing is that you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions (since you’re a beginner, you should have lots of questions).
The Facebook group is also a resource for Charlie’s live streams.
In addition, the course will be updated in the future. This is the second version of the course, so updates are inevitable.
Who Is Charlie Brandt?
Digital marketing and eCommerce are some of Charlie Brandt’s specialities. He is based in California.
I would say that his background story is typical; he went from being homeless or penniless to earning six-figure profits.
The information about him on his partially-constructed website was very brief. According to him, he went from being in debt of $20,000 to achieve millions of dollars through his brand in 10 months.
The rest of his life was pretty much a mystery. He also has a YouTube channel that he created in September of this year and has amassed a total of 33k subscribers in just a few months.
Most YouTubers struggle to reach 5k in a year, which is quite impressive, in my opinion. He has reached the 35k plateau in less than a year.
He might be considered influential. Well, I’ve seen some of his videos, and they’re generally good–informative and comprehensive.
Perhaps, he gets his subscribers by posting quality content. Aside from his YouTube channel, he also uses social media platforms like Instagram.
100k Academy Pricing
This course costs $797.
The price is high, but it’s not the most expensive. However, I’ve taken half as many courses that I think are better.
Regarding the refund policy, there are a lot of restrictions.
Refunds are available for 30 days and are subject to the following requirements:
- View fewer than 60% of the course
- Following all the criteria for product research and launch
- Consulted with coaches for help
Refund policies like this aren’t very good.
100k Academy Pros
1. Good traffic training
Despite its shortcomings, this traffic training is quite good. Additionally, it discusses all the most important traffic sources.
You cannot succeed in eCommerce without traffic. Traffic is the key to making money.
Though it’s not the best, it’s still pretty good. It’s mainly focused on Facebook, Google Ads, and Google Shopping.
100k Academy Cons and Complaints
1. Inadequate email marketing
Ecommerce relies heavily on email marketing. Email should account for 30% of the sales, according to some. 100k Academy does not offer enough training on this topic.
2. Poor refund policy
Refund policies should have a lot of hoops to jump through. If you don’t have one, don’t. It is unfortunate that this course requires you to jump through a ton of hoops just to get a refund.
They offer a 30-day refund policy. However, there are some conditions to it, including—
- Having spoken with a coach for assistance
- Specific criteria must have been met
- Additionally, they must have only viewed 60 percent of the online course
Is 100K Academy a Sam?
I cannot say Charlie Brandt is a scam. There is evidence to say so. In fact, Charlie Brandt does know the stuff in eCommerce and you can learn the basics from her.
The problem is whether you can really make money after enrolling in Charlie Brandt’s 100k Academy.
In my opinion, the training in Charlie Brandt’s course is just mediocre, meaning there are no special or unique strategies covered. There is no guarantee that you will make your money back.
Also, I reckon Charlie Brandt makes most of his money from selling his online courses instead of eCommerce. Because you can see that he devotes most of his time to promoting his online course instead of his eCommerce store.
Moreover, Charlie Brandt doesn’t tell you the difficulties of eCommerce because he is trying to sell you his 100k Academy course.
If you are new to online business, you have to understand why eCommerce is more difficult than you thought.
Is eCommerce Still a Viable Option in 2021?
I did eCommerce before, so what I can tell you is that eCommerce has become increasingly difficult. If you want to build a 6 figure eCommerce business, you need to shed some blood, sweat and tears to figure out how it works.
Here are a few points why I would not recommend eCommerce:
1. Financial Risk
Your eCommerce store won’t sell ANYTHING if you don’t ADVERTISE. But Facebook ads costs are skyrocketing and will eat away at your PROFITS. You might need weeks or even months to just break even, before seeing any profit.
In another word, you have to take a huge FINANCIAL RISK in eCommerce.
2. Facebook ads are Pricey and Difficult
After observing most eCommerce stores’ results, at best, the total Facebook ad cost will account for at least 30% of your total sales.
But Facebook ads seldom stay effective for too long. Once your ad has exhausted the audience, it becomes ineffective. Your total revenue will be much lower and even result in a net loss.
According to Forbes, Facebook saw an increase in ad costs of 90% year on year.
Worse still, the learning curve of Facebook ads is quite steep because Facebook changes its algorithm all the time. You have to invest a lot of time and money in learning and testing Facebook Ads.
If you run Facebook ads without any experience, your ad account will be banned for violating their strict policies.
3. Customer Support
In eCommerce, you have to spend a lot of time communicating with suppliers and dealing with customer service.
If your customer has any issues with the product, you have to wait for your supplier to help you. If your supplier is not helpful, you have to bear the loss yourself. Therefore, many eCommerce stores have poor customer and have no returning customers.
In the worst case, you would expect a lot of credit card chargebacks, which risk getting your payment gateway shut down.
4. A lot of work on product research
For your store to keep making money, you always have to find a product that has the momentum to go viral in order that the ads costs can be covered.
In eCommerce, most products reach their peak in 1-2 months or even weeks. This is because many competitors will steal your product and create a better ad. Or increase their budgets on Facebook ads to outbid you.
Therefore, you need to keep finding new replacements to keep generating cash flow.
You might see people post revenues online but they don’t tell you the net revenue.
Some of them might be making money but it’s not sustainable.
The eCommerce business model is not as passive as you think. Most people who succeed in eCommerce are doing it full time because it requires you to keep finding new products, creating new stores, testing new ads and looking for new suppliers to make your income stable.
Is There A Better Alternative to 100k Academy?
If you don’t want to waste your time or risk your hard-earned money, you might wonder if there is a better business model that doesn’t need Facebook ads and can do it as a side-hustle.
Yes, I would suggest you get started with affiliate marketing. It is far easier and less time consuming as you don’t even need to handle customer service.
In affiliate marketing, you can run your business almost with zero cost. Most importantly, you don’t need to invest in creating and developing any products.
But How Much Can You Earn in Affiliate Marketing?
A 21-year old student from my #1 recommended training platform of affiliate marketing was able to earn $7,395 in just 1 week, which means he made more than $1k a day…all while using free traffic methods and affiliate marketing.
