Are you looking for a TeleTech review? But you may wonder if it is a scam.
I just started investigating the company because I heard rumors that its CEO was ringing the Nasdaq closing bell and that bank fraud was being committed by TeleTech employees.
As a disclaimer, I’m not affiliated with TeleTech. It means I’m not paid to write this review. So you can rest assured that you will get an honest and unbiased review from me.
At the end of this review, I’ll also tell you the best alternative to TeleTech that has enabled me to make a full-time passive income online.

What is TeleTech (TTEC)?
TeleTech is a company that puts people at the center of the digital world and empowers them through technology.
I wonder if there isn’t some sort of secret fight club where corporate marketers sit in a circle and throw meaningless jargon at each other. Which one of you has the most impressive jargon?
Which of us can express the clearest idea in the most convoluted language?
The corporate jargon TeleTech uses includes phrases like “omnichannel universe” and “integrated humanify customer engagement”
The gist “should” be immediately apparent, but when it’s not… TeleTech is a company that facilitates communication between businesses and their customers.
Your only goal is to help others.
Working as a freelancer for TeleTech means working in a field similar to companies like Arise and Social Sale. If you want to provide this service on the front end, you’ll inform customers via email, text message, or social media platforms.

TeleTech Negative Reviews
There’s a good reason why I pointed out at the beginning of this assessment the difficulty TeleTech has in defining itself.
Great companies, as they evolve and change, may add new features or remove old ones, change their focus, or even change their name.
If you look into TeleTech, you’ll find plenty of complaints, as I’m sure you already know. After all, when a company loses sight of its mission, it also loses sight of its customers as individuals.
Employees become a mere number, a commodity whose value is determined by the market.
Unfortunately, there is an oversupply of freelancers working at home, which means they are cheap and expendable.
Many people who work at TeleTech would probably disagree with me on this point… i will not try to refute their claims either. Please understand that I am merely trying to shed light on the reasons for the mixed reception.
This is not meant to be an indictment of TeleTech; rather, I just want to point out that I do not think it’s TeleTech’s intention to treat people like machines (as the reviewer above describes).
Moreover, it is not their job to ensure the happiness of their employees.
The world, no matter where you go or what you do, is not flawless. When it comes to being able to work from home, TeleTech is not the best option. However, it’s a good place to start if you are just getting started.
There’s an old saying that perfect should not be the enemy of good. But do not let the pursuit of perfection stop you from setting up a work-from-home schedule that suits your needs.
Is TeleTech a Scam?
You may have also heard that TeleTech is a scam, and you may have also read the numerous negative reviews.
My original point was this. When I first started reading up on TeleTech, I saw some comments from customers who had experienced check fraud.
Those are some pretty serious allegations. I assumed it was another obvious scam after reading so many reviews.
And this page was one of the first results I got when I googled for “Teletech work from home fraud”
As the reviewer suggests, some scammers may be using TeleTech’s name, but this is not entirely clear. Is it possible that there are actually two companies here (one reputable and one not)?
Proving that TeleTech is legit should not be that difficult.
Skimming the previous review, you might get the impression that TeleTech is a scam.
However, if TeleTech were a real scam, the reviewer would not have worked there for six months and not received a free landline.
This person’s previous employment at TeleTech proves that the job exists.
What they NOT claim is that it is a good or even fair job. Someone obviously has a problem with a promise not being kept, as the accusation of fraud shows.
And while we advocate that people go their own way, it’s important to point out that just because a company’s policies or promises have been changed or broken in the past, that does not make it fraud.
To call the entire company a fraud implies the existence of a complex scheme to defraud customers that does not exist.
In fact, TeleTech (TTEC) is ranked #4 on the Flexjobs Top 100.

About TeleTech
TTEC is the new name for TeleTech Holdings, which made the change in 2018.
Ken Tuchman (chairman and CEO), based in Englewood, Colorado, founded TeleTech in 1982 in response to his own negative experiences with customer service.
Currently, TeleTech (TTEC) employs approximately 48,000 people in 19 different countries.
Some of the criticisms levelled at TeleTech may be justified, but that does not make them scammers.
With annual revenues of over $1 billion, Teletech is a Fortune 500 company that is also publicly traded.
As I said earlier, there is no such thing as a perfect opportunity… However, if you apply to TeleTech, you are applying NOT to a nefarious collection of people who rip people off in their shabby flat.
The TeleTech company actually exists. A big company.
If that’s not your thing, you can also make money with online surveys like surveyjunkie.com and inboxdollars.com. At Inboxdollars, you get paid for activities like exploring the Internet, watching movies, and visiting websites, and both sites are free.
If you want to earn more money, you should consider starting an online business.
Sometimes, due to health problems or the need to stay home and take care of the kids, it’s difficult to keep a 9 to 5 schedule. Maybe you’re just tired of your job and want to change careers (I’ve been there, and it’s not fun).
If you know how to start right, you can achieve what you want despite the abundance of useless and false information.
How Does TeleTech Work?
As mentioned above, customer service is an important component of this position. Depending on the customer and the nature of the project, you will engage with customers via chat, phone, or social media.
Salary is low and can vary by employer. Although compensation rates are not publicly disclosed, employees have reported receiving $8 per hour for chat tasks and $10 per hour for phone projects while working at Teletech.
The application process takes about an hour and includes tests, called MatchPoint Assessments, to determine whether or not you have the skills needed for certain jobs.
You must be at least 17 years old, have graduated from high school or earned a General Equivalency Diploma (GED), and if you are hired, TeleTech will pay for your education.
Drug Testing and Criminal Background Checks
Both a physical and a drug test are required. Probably to appease TeleTech’s customers (who knows, maybe they’ve had problems with some of their employees in the past), but I’ll leave it to you to judge what you think of these minimum wage requirements.
Although TeleTech is supposedly paying for these audits, you’ll not be compensated for your time (which isn’t unusual).
Technical Requirements
- Windows PC (no MAC’s, no tablets)
- Operating Systems (Windows 8.1 x64 (Home/Pro) / Windows 10 x64 (Home/Pro/Enterprise)
- 3.3 GB of “usable” RAM
- 8 GB free Hard Drive space
- 2 USB ports
- Sound Card
- 17” or Larger Monitor (minimum resolution 1024 x 268)
- Comfortable VoIP USB 2.0 Headset (must support Skype and/or Cisco)
- Windows Defender Antivirus configured for Workbooth
- Firewall software
- Internet Explorer 11
- Phone call to an Internet service provider (ISP) to obtain a wired broadband connection (not Wi-Fi) with a stability value of 99.99% and a response time of at least 120 milliseconds.
- Distraction-free zone (TeleTech has a strict NO background noise policy)
Scheduling
The schedule is based on the needs of the customers. However, each shift requires 4 to 6 hours of work at a time and a weekly commitment of at least 20 hours of work.
The flexibility of working from home is great, but if you need to be available on weekends and holidays, this is not the best option if you have a family.

TeleTech Review: Final Verdict
Because TeleTech hires more workers than they can handle, those who apply there can expect to wait indefinitely to be invited for an interview.
Some people have also reported that despite buying the necessary equipment to meet TeleTech’s technical requirements, they were never called to work.
In companies with a large workforce, ten to twenty percent of employees are often on leave or not working.
However, many of these problems are commonplace for people who “work” online. Having an Internet “company” and earning passive money makes it possible to be free of constraints such as set work hours, phone calls, random drug tests, and other typical employment problems. We report for you.
It should be noted, however, that TeleTech has received many good reviews if you need a steady paycheck right away.
If you join TeleTech and are aware of these issues (complaints) and have a clear idea of what you are getting into (again, this is just my opinion), you will enjoy your time there and may even make the most of this opportunity to create the life you want.
Remote work gives you the flexibility to be near or far from your loved ones, depending on your situation.
