Prince Louis Net Worth

Prince Louis has an estimated net worth of $100 million. Prince Louis is the third child of Prince William and Kate Middleton. His two older siblings are Prince George and Princess Charlotte. As the next generation of royals, Prince Louis has incredible future earning abilities, thanks to his influence on the fashion markets. As parents across the world adore him, the brands and clothing items that he is seen wearing can usually sell out within hours.

However, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, Prince Louis cannot attend most public events, so the “Prince Louis effect” still needs some time to unfold.

To calculate the net worth of Prince Louis, subtract all his liabilities from his total assets. Investments, savings, cash deposits, and any equity he has in a house, car, or other similar asset are included in the total assets.

All debts, such as personal loans and mortgages, are included in total liabilities.

Royal Arrival

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced their third child’s birth on September 4, 2017. Prince Louis was born on April 23, 2018, at 11:01 a.m., at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, weighing 8 pounds, 7 ounces. Louis and his mother, Kate Middleton, left the hospital the day he was born to go to Kensington Palace, but not before Prince William brought Prince George and Princess Charlotte to meet their new brother.

To commemorate his arrival, gun salutes were fired at the Tower of London and in Hyde Park, and bells were rung at Westminster Abbey.

Full Name

Kensington Palace announced the new prince’s name four days after his birth: Louis Arthur Charles. His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge is the prince’s official title.

Louis’ first name is a middle name for his father (William Arthur Philip Louis) and his older brother (George Alexander Louis), and it was Prince Philip’s grandfather’s first name.

The name Louis was possibly chosen to honor Lord Louis Mountbatten, Prince Philip’s uncle and Queen Elizabeth II’s cousin. Mountbatten, who was assassinated by an Irish Republican Army bomb in 1979, was considered a substitute grandfather by Prince Charles.

The middle name Arthur is shared by William, Charles, and Queen Elizabeth II’s father, King George VI. The new prince’s middle name, Charles, is another nod to his paternal grandfather.

There are two ways to say the name Louis, but for this Louis, the “s” at the end is silent, resulting in the pronunciation “Loo-ee,” rather than “Loo-iss.”

Line of Succession

Prince Louis is the fifth heir to the British throne. His grandfather, Prince Charles, is first; his father, William, is second; and his siblings, George and Charlotte, are third and fourth, respectively.

In previous royal generations, Louis’ status as a male heir would have put him ahead of Charlotte in line for the throne, but the Succession to the Crown Act of 2013 eliminated this gender bias.

When and if Louis’ older siblings have children, those nieces or nephews will take his place in the line of succession (just as Louis jumped ahead of his uncle, Prince Harry). As a result, it is unlikely that Louis will ever become King of the United Kingdom.

Early Days in Kensington Palace

Many people came to meet Louis, including his aunt Pippa Middleton, Prince Charles’ wife Camilla Parker-Bowles, the Duchess of Cornwall, and his great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II (a recent hip replacement kept great-grandfather Prince Philip away). On May 2, 2018, Louis’ grandfather, Prince Charles, paid him a visit.

Princess Charlotte turned three on May 2, and on that day, their mother photographed Charlotte kissing her younger brother on the forehead. The public was shown this image, as well as another of a three-day-old Louis.

Public Appearances

On the day Louis was born, reporters and onlookers were able to see him outside of St Mary’s Hospital. On May 4, 2018, Kensington Palace confirmed that the new prince would not attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding on May 19, 2018.

On July 9, 2018, Prince Louis was baptized at St James’s Palace’s Chapel Royal. Nicholas van Cutsem, Guy Pelly, Harry Aubrey-Fletcher, Lady Laura Meade, Robert Carter, and Lucy Middleton are his godparents, who are friends and family of his parents. He wore the same royal christening gown as his siblings.
