Pauly D was born Paul DelVecchio Jr. on July 5, 1980, in Providence, Rhode Island, United States of America. His parents are of Italian descent, Paul D. DelVecchio Sr. and Donna DiCarlo.

He and his sister, Vanessa, grew up in Providence and Johnston, Rhode Island. In Rhode Island, Paul attended ‘Johnston High School.’
