Life Coach School Review – Is Brooke Castillo a Scam?

Are you looking for a Life Coach School review? If you want to become a life coach, you might have heard of Brooke Castillo. But you may wonder if he is a scam.

It’s my passion to help people learn about online money-making opportunities. Over the years, I’ve reviewed a number of programs and softwares like the Life Coach School courses.

In the past week, I have thoroughly researched the Life Coach School so I can tell you more about it.

As a disclaimer, I’m not affiliated with Life Coach School. It means I’m not paid to write this review. So you can be sure that my words are unbiased.

At the end of this review, I’ll also tell you a better alternative that has enabled me to make a full-time passive income online.

In this Life Coach School review, I’m going to cover the following.

What is Life Coach School?

There are two training programs at Life Coach School. The first one is a self-help program and the second teaches you how to become a life coach.

I don’t really like training like this and the second program costs way too much (over $21,000).

Being a life coach is not the best way to make money as a side hustle.

Anyway, let’s take a look at the coach certification program, which is the more expensive program costing more than $21,000.

This is a 3-month program for those who want to become life coaches.

Here’s what you’ll get with this program:

Life Coach Curriculum

In the Life Coach Curriculum, there are a few different parts.

The breakdown is as follows:

#1.  Mastery Of The Model

This model is called CTFAR (Circumstances, Thoughts, Feelings, Actions, Results). As stated in the training, mastering this model will enable you to “literally solve any problem.” This is the model you will use to help your clients.

#2. Emotional Childhood/Adulthood

The purpose of this section is to help you control your emotions so that you can help your clients do the same.

#3 . The Manual

In the Manual, you will learn how to develop new relationships. The Life Coach School shares how to identify and avoid unhealthy patterns in early relationships.

#4. Outcome And Goal Cultivation

As you study this section, you will learn how to help your clients set goals and how to achieve them.

#5. Belief System Navigation

With Belief System Navigation, you will help your clients develop new beliefs. Making sure their goals are reached along the way.

#6. Past/Future Focus Techniques

This section will teach you how to help clients focus on the present instead of the past. So they can build a better future for themselves.

#7. Unconditional Love

You will learn how to teach your clients to feel love on command in this section.

Overeating And Overdrinking Curriculum

Drinking and eating are common ways for people to cope with depression. You can probably expect your clients to struggle with this.

You will learn about the following topics during this training:

  • Overdesire
  • Overhunger
  • The role of hormones
  • The role of neurotransmitters
  • Managing urges
  • Feeling emotions
  • Using the prefrontal cortex to plan for success
  • Creating protocols and choosing fuel
  • Intermittent fasting
  • Managing setbacks
  • Increasing commitments
  • Gaining control and discipline
  • Understanding the effects of substances on the body
  • Issues associated with massive weight loss
  • Issues associated with a reduction in social drinking

Certification

You must do live practice with your instructor in order to become certified.

Also, you will need to submit recordings of yourself coaching your clients. During the three-month training course, you will also take and pass an exam.

Monthly Calls

Each month, alumni of the Life Coach School certification program participate in a group call.

Mastermind And Business Workshop

Live events are held throughout the year. During those events, you’ll be able to network and learn more about coaching.

The Entrepreneur Training

You will also receive training that will help you build a profitable coaching business and create a marketing plan.

Here’s what you’ll get:

  • Guides and curriculums for entrepreneurship
  • Videos on entrepreneurship and business
  • A self-paced curriculum that leads you from your initial idea to deciding your niche, developing and testing a program, making offers, setting up a funnel, and serving clients
  • Checklist and funnel training for success on Facebook
  • Providing training on how to make offers to clients
  • Tips for writing emails that convert

Recommendation: Here’s The Best Alternative

Who Is Brooke Castillo?

Brooke Castillo founded Life Coach School over 15 years ago and has been running this business ever since.

Life Coach School Review - Is Brooke Castillo a Scam?

Apparently Brooke saw a life coach on Oprah years ago when she was suffering from depression.

As a result, she immediately signed up for Life Coach School. Now, the school generates millions of dollars in income.

In terms of her success, Brooke is quite successful, and she is not a fraud like a lot of internet personalities these days.

However, I think that the self-help industry is pretty scammy and that many people are suckered into it.

A lot of times, groups like these develop into cults. Additionally, “life coaches” are a bad way to make money.

It seems very cheesy and I could never envision ever hiring a life coach. I can imagine becoming a coach that taught something specific, such as fitness or finance.

If your only goal is to make money from home or online, then there are better and less embarrassing ways.

Life Coach School Price

Life Coach School offers two programs that seem way too expensive to me.

The first program is $297 per month, which really adds up. After a year, your bill will be nearly $3600.

There are plenty of self-help books that will teach you the same thing that you can buy for $20. There is nothing special about this course.

The certification program costs $21,000!

I think it’s a lot of money to afford a 3 month program that teaches you how to make money on the side.

Life Coach School Pros

1. Brooke Castillo is a legit coach

There are a lot of people who fake success online. But Brooke is a successful businesswoman. It seems that she knows what she is talking about.

Life Coach School Cons and Complaints

1. The courses are too expensive

The prices of both courses seem excessive to me. For the first, it will cost you nearly $300 per month, for the second, it will cost you $21,000!

2. Not a good business model

Money is hard to make while being a life coach. When clients have overdue bills, life coaches often have to take on the awkward and uncomfortable task of collecting those payments.

It is also challenging to get and keep enough paying clients in order to operate and make money.

3. Poor refund policy

The refund policy isn’t mentioned anywhere on the site, and I needed to read through the lengthy terms and conditions section to find out what it is. You have 7 days from the beginning of the program to request a refund.

With all the money you’re investing in the program, that’s not a very good refund policy.

Refund policies should typically last 30 days or more.

Is Brooke Castillo a Scam?

I wouldn’t say Brooke Castillo is a scam. Given her fame and number of followers on social media, it’s unlikely that she is a scammer.

You can learn a lot of stuff from Brooke Castillo for sure if you join Life Coach School. However, if your goal is to make more passive income online, I wouldn’t recommend Life Coach School .

It’s because prospects can’t really justify your fees and referrals are hard to come by. It is likely that you will put in a lot of effort but get little reward.

Life Coach School doesn’t teach you an easy and profitable business model and guides you step-by-step.

At the end of the day, you might not become successful financially after attending Brooke Castillo’s courses.

If you want to make passive income online and change your life, I have a better recommendation for you. Anyone can start with this simple business model today and make money while sleeping.

I will talk about this in detail in the next section.

Is There A Better Alternative to Life Coach School?

If you’re new to online business, you might wonder if there’s a business model that doesn’t need initial capital and can do it as a side-hustle.

Of all the business models I’ve tried, affiliate marketing is the easiest and most rewarding so far.

In affiliate marketing, you can run your business almost with zero cost. Most importantly, you don’t need to invest in creating and developing any products.

Also, it is less time consuming since you don’t have to manage inventory or handle customer service.

You can enjoy a steady stream of passive income while going on vacation or working a full-time job.

But How Much Can You Earn in Affiliate Marketing?

A 21-year old student from my #1 recommended training platform of affiliate marketing was able to earn $7,395 in just 1 week, which means he made more than $1k a day…all while using free traffic methods.

  1. Life coaching certainly seems like a scam to me based on my experience. Behind all the tall claims about helping people and making a better life, it’s ultimately all about making money. A life coach charged me a fortune for an 8-week course on life coaching. What a complete waste of money! I was literally enticed into it by her fancy promises of the outcome combined with the fact that she knew that I was going through a vulnerable and shaky phase in my life. Before the session began, all fees had to be paid in full. In the first four sessions, questions after questions were thrown at me on the pretext of understanding my core nature, personality, inclinations, areas of interest, areas of improvement, and so on. My frustration (and even agitation) at seeing no progress from baseline led her to change course. She ran the next four sessions with generic ideas and non-original ideas packaged into one fancy ..according to her..’life-changing message and experience. And after all this and despite my repeated expression of discontentment, she still had the cheek to ask me for a testimony. I have never felt so disappointed and cheated in life like the way I did from this experience.

  2. I had great expectations of their programs and I am disappointed. I don’t feel I learned anything new that I could implement into my coaching sessions.
