Jemeker Thompson, also known as the “Queen Pin,” rose to the top of the cocaine trade in Los Angeles, California, during the 1980s crack epidemic.
Thompson, who had been evicted from her home at a young age, partnered with an older man named Anthony M. “Daff” Mosley in order to make money quickly. They ran a successful cocaine trafficking operation in Los Angeles. They later married and had one child together, a son named Anthony.

Thompson and Daff decided to expand their drug business after a few months by switching to a more popular drug, crack cocaine. Shortly after, tragedy struck: Daff was killed while car washing.
Thompson eventually trudged on, expanding the business she’d started with her late husband by making new connections and expanding into new territories across the United States.
Thompson also invested in an L.A.-based hair business around the same time, selling hair to celebrities and traveling and holding shows to showcase her products.

Prison Release and Later Life
Thompson was released from a maximum-security prison in 2005 after serving 13 years alongside Griselda Blanco and Squeaky Fromme. The Queen Pin is now an evangelical minister at Second Chance Ministries in Los Angeles’ South Central, which she also owns.
Thompson’s ministerial mission is to show others that they can always have a second chance in life through God. “I’m here today to tell you that you don’t have to do what I did,” she explained. “You are not required to be like the other kids in your neighborhood. I was given a second chance.”
