Immunotec Review – Scam or Legit MLM? Exposed!

Immunotec is an MLM company that sells health and wellness products. It is not a pyramid scheme, and it is one of the legit MLM companies.

There is a good chance that you heard about Immunotec through someone – a friend or family member.

Many people these days are looking for additional income, and you are most likely one of them. There was then an opportunity to work from home by joining Immunotec as one of their independent distributors.

However, as I’ll discuss in this review, there are some reasons why success with Immunotec is unlikely. Experienced salespeople and well-funded recruiters are the only ones I can think of to have real success with this MLM program.

As a disclaimer, I’m not affiliated with Immunotec. It means I’m not paid to write this review. So you can rest assured that you will get an honest and unbiased review from me.

At the end of this review, I’ll also tell you the best alternative to the Immunotec MLM program that has enabled me to make a full-time passive income online.

What Is Immunotec?

Immunotec is a multi-level marketing company specializing in the sale of skin care products and nutritional supplements to improve health.

Immunocal, the company’s flagship product, is a top-quality bioactive protein that helps keep glutathione levels in the body where they should be.

Immunotec has been extensively researched. The website claims it is clinically proven to help maintain a healthy immune system, promote lean muscle growth, and improve the effectiveness of exercise.

In the 1980s, the benefits of this particular protein isolate were discovered by Dr. Gustavo Bounous and Patricia Kongshavn.

When Chuck Roberts, John Molson and Dieter Beer, all experienced professionals in the field of network marketing, joined forces with the two scientists in 1996, they founded Immunotec.

Canada, the United States of America, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia, Puru, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Spain are just some of the countries where the company is currently represented.

Among MLM companies, Immunotec is one of the few with a (nutritional, non-drug) product in both the PDR (Physicians Desk Reference) and the Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties (CPS).

Immunotec is committed to conducting business ethically and protecting its customers and has therefore joined the Direct Selling Association. The basis of this commitment is the Code of Ethics.

Immunotec’s membership in the DSA is contingent upon the Company’s compliance with the requirements and practices of the Code.

The Code helps MLM organizations avoid making false claims to customers and distributors.

Each multi-level marketing company signs this code, which is monitored by a neutral but authoritative third party.

Immunotec is a multi-level marketing (MLM) company based on the principle of “social selling” that provides its distributors, also known as independent consultants, with a complete product line, training, marketing tools and other support services to help them build and grow their own business from home.

Immunotec History: How It All Started

Drs. Gustavo Bounous, Patricia Kongshavn, and Wulf Dröge of Montreal, Canada discovered over 40 years ago that a properly prepared whey protein isolate increases glutathione, the body’s master antioxidant.

The scientists had established Immunotec by the mid-1990s with the help of Chuck Roberts, a seasoned network marketing entrepreneur, Dieter Beer, and John Molson, a member of the illustrious Canadian Molson family.

Immunotec’s flagship product, Immunocal, has gained international renown through patents issued in the United States, Canada, and other countries, as well as recognition in reputable medical publications, government support for health claims, and use by elite athletes and amateur athletes around the globe.

Immunotec Products

Instead of the other way around, it was Immunotec’s product that went looking for a company to help get it into the hands of millions of people who could use it.

In addition to its namesake product, Immunotec also sells a wide variety of ancillary products in the areas of nutrition, personal care, mental acuity, weight loss, joint health, and even accessories.

There are three distinct types of Immunotec products.

  • The Products That Power Our Brand (Immunocal, Platinum, Booster Superfood Reds & Greens, Booster Energy, and Performance).
  • Product Line of Dietary Supplements (Multi + Resveratrol, Omega Gen V, Calcium-D from Milk, Daily Essentials Pack, Probio 3+ with Cranberry).
  • Distinctive Goods (Seren-T200, Contralenta, Toothpaste with SynerG, Magistral, and so much more)

What Is Immunocal?

To keep glutathione levels at a healthy level, this Immunotec product provides the precursors needed for intracellular glutathione production. It is a natural food protein concentrate that has been patented in the United States.

Glutathione levels are raised, as has been demonstrated scientifically.

In cases where glutathione is involved in the detoxification of the xenobiotic, such as in cases of glutathione deficiency, high oxidative stress, immune deficiency, and xenobiotic overload, glutathione augmentation is a treatment strategy.

HIV/AIDS, infectious hepatitis, certain cancers, cataracts, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, radiation poisoning, acetaminophen poisoning, malnutrition, extreme physical stress, and aging have all been linked to a glutathione deficiency.

Numerous medical texts discuss oxidative stress and its relationship to various clinical pathologies.

Cancer, AIDS, sepsis, trauma, burns, and even overtraining in athletes have all been associated with low glutathione levels and wasting, as have low levels of the antioxidant thioredoxin. Cysteine supplements can slow this process, leading to better outcomes for AIDS patients and others who might otherwise not make it.

Customer Complaints

While browsing the Better Business Bureau website, I came across a single complaint from a customer who wanted to cancel his order and receive a refund.

He was dissatisfied that Immuotec had to ship the product and charge him for doing so. Despite the fact that the company is not required to do so, they reimbursed the customer for shipping costs anyway.

Immunotec Business Opportunity

Consultants in Immunotec’s multi-level marketing program earn commissions on product sales and new consultant sign-ups.

It’s easy to start your own consulting business.

To get started, head over to the site and select “opportunity” and then “Join as a consultant” from the drop-down menus. After that, get the consultant starter kit and fill out the application.

Everything you need to launch and grow your business is included in this $45 kit, including your own domain name, access to a dedicated online business hub, product catalogs, booklets, training materials, and more!

You can earn commissions without placing orders, unlike at many other multi-level marketing companies. You can increase your eligibility for commissions and bonuses by increasing your Personal Sale Volume (PSV), which is increased by purchasing products for resale.

Starter packs are a great way to save money during the application process. For instance, the Silver Jump Start Pack will save you over $816. (5000 PV).

You can save up to 30% as a consultant on all commissionable items.

Immunotec Compensation Plan

In the Immunotec compensation plan, there are seven ways to make money:

1. Customer Retail Profit

When you buy in bulk at a discount and then sell to consumers at full retail, you pocket the difference. When a customer makes a purchase on either your site or Immunotec’s official site, you make a retail profit.

In this way, Immunocal, which costs $87 to purchase wholesale, can be resold for $108.75.

That’s not bad: you made $21.75!

If you do a quick search online, you’ll find the same product on Amazon selling for $89.65 or even $80.

2. Customer Autoship Profits

When customers sign up for Autoship on a monthly basis, you’ll get paid the difference between the consultant price and the autoship price.

3. Customer Volume Bonus

Get a commission increase proportional to the quantity your client buys from you. Example: If your CVS is between $1,000 and $1,999, you will earn a 5% CV (commissionable volume).

4. Business Builder Volume

Get paid extra for generating revenue for consultants you’ve recruited yourself. During the first 30 days, you will earn one BBB credit for every product sold by a consultant. If a referral of yours generates a single sale worth $500 CV, for instance, you will receive $25 (1 x 5% x $500).

5. Team Commissions

Independent Consultants you recommend to Immunotec will earn you a commission on their sales. You’ll rise through the ranks as you recruit more team members and assist them in making sales.

You’ll be able to recruit more people into your downline and increase your earnings as a result.

Remember that you must meet monthly requirements in order to keep your current rank. It’s possible for the platinum consultant to earn 47% in team commissions if he generates 1,550,000 TOV (Total Organization Volume).

6. Moving Up and Accelerated Bonus

Earning a Moving Up bonus requires you to reach a new level of seniority and stay there for at least two full months. You’ll get a faster bonus if you move up in rank within a certain time frame.

When you reach and keep the Silver tier, for instance, you’ll receive $200.

7. Sponsor Moving Up and Accelerated Bonuses

Consultants who serve as role models and aid their peers in advancing their careers are rewarded by Immunotec. As a result, you’ll get handsome commissions whenever one of the consultants in your downline achieves Gold status or higher.

You can get more information about the compensation plan by reading the booklet that comes with your new job. The compensation plan is difficult to understand, particularly for those who have never participated in multi-level marketing before.

More information is included in your welcome packet, and your sponsor is always available to answer questions.

Is Immunotec An MLM?

Immunotec is a legit MLM (multi-level marketing) company. Companies that engage in multilevel marketing are also sometimes referred to as network or direct sales businesses.

As a multi-level marketing firm, Immunotec won’t provide its sales representatives with a regular salary. After joining Immunotec’s MLM program and becoming one of the members, you’ll run your own business as a sales representative for Immunotec products.

You can sell your products in a variety of ways, including online pop-ups and livestreams.

Customers can browse your inventory and shop directly from your eCom shop, so you can track your business online and answer customers enquiries at any time and anywhere.

Despite that, it is unlikely that you can make a good income selling their products. As in the case of most MLM programs, your business relies on recruiting new members to work under you. You will earn a commission on the sales and new recruits generated by the people you hire once they begin producing results.

This is complex on a number of levels (hence multi-level).

Let’s imagine a triangle. Because everyone in the triangle is in your direct downline (in an MLM, the people beneath you are known as your “downline,” and you are their “upline”), you will earn commissions from everyone in the triangle if the person at the top recruits ten people, and each of these ten recruits ten more.

If you can bring in just 10 people, you’ll make $1100.

Most people in your MLM would rather earn a lifetime passive income from recruiting others than a one-time commission from selling products, even if your MLM offers a wide range of products.

Due to the way the money flows, those at the top of the triangle have the most financial success, while those at the base have the least.

Having a large number of people in one’s “downline” is essential for success in a multi-level marketing company like Immunotec.

Is Immunotec Legit or A Pyramid Scheme?

Immunotec is not a pyramid scheme. It is a legit MLM company that allows members to make money by selling their products. As a member of Immunotec, you don’t have to make money solely through recruitment.

In contrast, a pyramid scheme recruits members by promising them money or services in return for recruiting others. It is unsustainable and often a scam because members at the bottom end are doomed to lose money.

Those who want to join must pay a membership fee to the company that runs the pyramid scheme. The company would share a portion of the funds raised from each additional member they recruit as a reward.

Immunotec distributors, on the contrary, are not paid to recruit new members. There is no direct financial incentive.

A pyramid scheme is profitable only for the directors of the company, i.e., those at the top of the pyramid since they can receive a portion of the payments from every newly recruited member. The scheme continues as long as members recruit and funnel money to the top of the pyramid.

Such companies almost never sell valuable goods or services. The scam’s only source of revenue is from recruiting new members and soliciting more money from current members.

A pyramid scheme would have to grow infinitely to make money for everyone who participates. This is impossible due to the finite population of the planet.

The scam will fail if there are no new recruits and other sources of income. Since the majority of members are at the lowest level of the pyramid, most of them will lose their money.

A good example of pyramid schemes is Vemma, a producer of energy and weight loss drinks. The FTC accused Vemma of operating a pyramid scheme in August 2015 that paid more to recruit new members than to sell products.

New members, who were typically college students and other young people promised high compensation, were required to pay $600 for starter packages and hundreds more for monthly products. According to the FTC, the majority of participants lost money.

Who Is Dr. Patricia Kongshavn?

Dr. Kongshavn immigrated to Canada, where he earned a PhD in immunology from McGill University and an honours degree in natural sciences from Cambridge University.

She then worked her way up in the Department of Physiology and the Department of Medicine at McGill University until she was awarded a full professorship in 1986.

Her study was funded by awards from the Medical Research Council of Canada, the Canadian National Cancer Institute, and the National Institutes of Health in the United States.

Her major research areas included cellular immunology, host-parasite interactions, and the genetics of natural resistance.

In the mid-1970s, she began working with Dr. Gustavo on a study of the effects of various dietary proteins on immune responses.

They began their collaboration in 1978 and published their first paper on the subject that same year.

Through these studies, we were able to identify a specific whey protein concentrate that regulated glutathione levels and improved immune function. As a result, the high-quality natural product IMMUNOCAL was developed.

Who Is Dr. Gustavo Bounous?

Dr. Gustavo was born in 1928 and received his education at the universities of Turin and Genoa before moving to the United States. Professorships in Surgery at Sherbrooke and McGill Universities followed his time as a Research Fellow at the Indiana Medical Center in Indianapolis (1973-1985).

In 1965, Dr. Bounous was honored with a medal from Canada’s prestigious Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. In 1968 and again in 1993, the year he left McGill University, he was recognized as a Career Investigator of the Medical Research Council.

In 1978, Dr. Bounous and his colleagues at the McGill University Faculty of Medicine began a new research program to identify a dietary protein source that would strengthen the immune system.

Because of their efforts, an undenatured milk concentrate that helps keep glutathione levels stable and the immune system functioning well has been isolated and prepared.

Immunocal is a high-quality bioactive material that was created after the active ingredients in this protein mixture were isolated and characterized. Dr. Bounous later explained, “Scientific committees do not make discoveries; individuals who have been lucky and persistent.”

Who Is Dr. Wulf Droge?

Dr. Wulf Dröge was a pioneer in the field of redox biology; he has written more than ten studies with over 100 citations combined and co-authored an essay on antioxidant/redox biology that has been cited more than 2,000 times.

One of the most important findings from 1987 was the stimulatory effect of superoxide radicals and hydrogen peroxide on lymphocyte functions, which sparked a flurry of research into the function of reactive oxygen species, glutathione, and its precursor cysteine in both physiological and pathological processes.

He found abnormally low levels of cysteine and glutathione in HIV-infected patients, as well as a decrease in the postabsorptive plasma cysteine concentration with age, which is thought to be the cause of age-related oxidative stress.

In his book, Avoiding the First Cause of Death, and Challenging the Limits of the Human Lifespan, he explains the theoretical concept he developed of the mechanism of aging and death. 14(2319-2323) Antioxid. Redox Signal.

Should You Join Immunotec As a Consultant?

Despite the tempting prize, take a step back and evaluate the situation rationally before making any commitments.

Immunotec products are of high quality but have a high price. Therefore, they are not exactly easy to sell, especially if you do not deal with wealthy people frequently.

Most people also have difficulty with direct sales because they can only promote Immunocal to people they already know and trust, like family and friends.

It can be very discouraging if you are not an influencer with tens of thousands of followers on social media.

I do not want to suggest you are. As you gain experience and educate yourself, you can become a better marketer, which will lead to greater financial success with Immunotec.

Consultants exist in every company, and some of them have worked their way up from nothing to a comfortable financial position. So we should all make an effort.

If you believe in Immunotec’s products and have the will to succeed, becoming a consultant is a good decision.

Immunotec MLM Pros And Cons

  • High pay and benefits.
  • Products that meet quality standards and have been thoroughly tested in clinical trials.
  • Numerous users attest to improved health after taking Immunocal.

  • Cheaper options are available.
  • Despite Immunocal’s low price tag, some Amazon sellers are making a killing.
  • Compensation structure is extremely intricate.
  • Paying for products isn’t necessary to earn commissions.

9 Reasons Why I Don’t Recommend Immunotec MLM Program

1. Very Few People Can Make Money With Immunotec

Success is difficult to achieve with an MLM company like Immunotec.

You can look at the statistic that says 72.5 percent to 99.9 percent of MLM members lose money.

The reason for this is that MLMs have sales quotas that require members to continue selling products in order to remain active and eligible for commissions.

They will not be paid if they do not meet the quota.

As a result, many MLM members lose a significant amount of money before even recruiting one person into the company.

2. Losses From Immunotec MLM Are Reframed As Investments

Immunotec MLM uplines often reframe their financial losses as ‘investments’ in their business so as to keep their reps in an MLM scheme, dangling the carrot of future financial freedom.

But the reality is that these are not investments. You are unlikely to get the money back. And the return on “investment” is negative in most cases. So saying that it’s an investment is cheating.

3. Immunotec MLM is a Cult

Why do people continue to work for Immunotec if it appears to be so bad? Our investigation of MLMs revealed that they all have cult-like company cultures.

Critical thinking is actively discouraged among MLM representatives. They are chastised and even isolated when they ask questions that deviate from the ‘this company is a-mazing’ mindset.

MLMs, like abusive partners, encourage you to isolate yourself from anyone who questions your involvement.

Those who leave an MLM are labeled as failures or bad people/influences, and reps are not allowed to contact them.

Rejection from people they once considered practically family is one of the most devastating losses experienced by former MLM representatives.

MLMs frequently expect their representatives to prioritize their events and business over their personal lives in order to further embed them in the business while separating them from their family and friends.

4. You May Need to Purchase Immunotec Products Yourself

If you don’t have a large network of friends, family, neighbors, and so on, you may have to buy products yourself each month. It’s a losing proposition all around.

I think it’s quite ridiculous when you have to buy the products you are trying to sell. But this is very common for people who join MLMs like Immunotec. That’s why in the long term, you are going to lose a lot of money, not to mention making money.

5. Immunotec Products are Overpriced

As with other MLMs, Immunotec offers overpriced products. There are many other brands that offer similar products but at lower prices.

Therefore, you may find it difficult to sell Immunotec products because your prospects can buy the same product elsewhere at a much cheaper price. This explains why most people who join MLMs only focus on recruitment instead of selling actual products.

6. Immunotec’s MLM Business Model Has a Bad Reputation

Some people have benefited financially by joining a network marketing/MLM company. Unfortunately, most people who join MLMs are left with nothing but regret and a lot of useless products that they were unable to sell.

MLM like Immunotec is fundamentally flawed. The distribution of commissions is skewed toward the top.

The majority of those in the top tier and pioneers make the most money, while those at the bottom will not even break even after a few months.

As a result, many people do not consider Immunotec to be a legitimate business opportunity.

7. Exaggerated Claims Of Income

Immunotec, like any other MLM company, makes exaggerated income claims, but in reality, very few people make a good living by promoting Immunotec.

Immunotec’s low retention rate can also be discouraging, as less than 41% of its distributors are active.

According to Immunotec’s payouts to distributors, over 99 percent of Immunotec distributors never make a profit.

8. Immunotec Is Like A Pyramid Scheme In Disguise

If you want to avoid losing money every month, the MLM will actually encourage you to recruit people.

Every system that requires you to recruit people in order to make money eventually looks like this.

Immunotec is not a pyramid scheme in the traditional sense because you can earn money by selling their products.

However, in order to make a living, you will need to hire others in reality.

9. Recruiting is Required to Succeed

I don’t recommend MLMs to people for this reason. MLMs like Immunotec put a lot of effort into recruiting. Eight out of ten ways to earn money with Immunotec require recruiting. If you don’t recruit, you are destined to lose money at the end of the day.

My #1 recommended platform is different. You can make a 4-figure, 5-figure or even 6-figure passive income by promoting and selling products you truly like. You don’t have to recruit people but recommend useful and great products. I will tell you more at the end of this Immunotec review.

Immunotec Review: Final Verdict

Here comes the conclusion of my Immunotec MLM review. Overall, I don’t recommend joining Immunotec MLM to make money.

You will have a tough time in the beginning when you are prospecting and trying to find recruiters to add to your Immunotec commission.

The worst part is that you practically have to ask your family and friends to join your Immunotec business opportunity. It’s not fun.

Your upline is constantly following up with you to encourage you to buy more Business Support Material even as you struggle to get people to join your downline.

The reality is that you’re likely to lose more money. Statistics confirm this as well. 99% of people who join an MLM break even or lose money, according to a case study on the FTC’s website.

People who join these MLM-type businesses often feel under pressure to succeed, and that is one of the main reasons they leave.

Why not consider starting your own online business if you want to earn money and have a flexible schedule?

Thus, you can choose what you want to promote rather than having someone tell you what you must promote.

Let me tell you how to build an online business in a legit way to make passive income online in the next section. This has allowed me to make a full-time income in a year. Most importantly, unlike MLM models, It’s 100% legit and sustainable.
