Happy Coffee Scam: Pyramid Scheme or MLM? [Review]

Have you heard of Happy Coffee? If you have, you might be wondering whether it’s worth checking out or if it’s just another scam. Maybe a friend or family member has introduced you to the product, or you’ve attended one of their seminars either in person or online.

I get it, it can be overwhelming trying to figure out if this is a legitimate way to make extra money outside of a regular 9-to-5 job. But let’s be honest, Happy Coffee is a multi-level marketing company. Some call it multi-level marketing, network marketing, or direct sales, but the concept is the same: you invest money for the chance to sell something.

As an online entrepreneur, I have reviewed many similar online opportunities over the years. So I can tell you what you need to know.

Full disclosure, I’m not affiliated with Happy Coffee, which means I’m not being paid to write this review. You can trust that my review is honest and unbiased. Plus, at the end of this review, I’ll share with you my best alternative to Happy Coffee, which has helped me make a full-time passive income online.

Let’s dive in.

What is Happy Coffee?

Happy Coffee is a multi-level marketing (MLM) company that sells weight loss coffee. Yep, you read that right – coffee that can help you lose weight! And they’re not the only ones doing it. Other MLMs like Arbonne, Herbalife, and Optavia are also in the game.

But what sets Happy Coffee apart is that they say they’re selling a functional beverage with nootropic ingredients. Basically, it’s coffee that’s enriched with amino acids, fat burners, and Colombian coffee focusing ingredients that are meant to make your weight loss journey easier and less daunting. They claim that these ingredients not only improve your health overall but also promote mental clarity, memory improvement, and increased energy. Sounds pretty good, right?

Is Happy Coffee a Scam?

No, Happy Coffee is not a scam or pyramid scheme. While it’s true that you can make money with Happy Coffee, it’s important to note that it’s not as simple as they make it out to be.

You’ll need to put in some effort marketing the products, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll be successful. Plus, unless you’re one of the top-ranking affiliates, the commissions you earn may not be as much as you were hoping for.

So, is Happy Coffee worth it? Well, that depends on how much time and energy you’re willing to put into it. If you’re up for the challenge, go for it! But if you’re looking for a get-rich-quick scheme, Happy Coffee might not be the right fit for you.

Is Happy Co. A Rebranded Elepreneurs?

Did you know that Elepreneurs, the Multi Level Marketing (MLM) company, rebranded itself as The Happy Co in February 2021?

The reason behind the rebrand was due to a fallout with Robert Oblon, the company’s founder and former executive, who was accused of “gross financial misconduct” by Elepreneurs in a memo sent to its affiliates in February 2020.

As a result of the accusations, Oblon was ousted from the Board of Directors and fired from his senior position in the company. He later resigned to avoid potential legal consequences arising from his misconduct.

But, despite the fallout, Oblon didn’t leave the MLM industry. He went on to launch another company called Amplifei.

So there you have it, Elepreneurs is now The Happy Co, and Robert Oblon is no longer associated with the company.

Happy Coffee Compensation Plan

If you’re thinking about becoming an affiliate with Happy Coffee, it’s essential to understand their compensation plan. Lucky for you, we’re here to help break it down for you in a casual way!

The plan is based on ranks and has various categories for compensation. When you hear the term PV, that means Personal Volume, which refers to the amount of product you buy. RPV, or Retail Personal Volume, is the amount of money in sales that come from the customers you refer. GV, or Group Volume, is what you and your downline bring in.

There are thirteen ranks on the plan, and it all starts with being a Brand Partner. As a Brand Partner, you can earn up to $750 a month. Then, there are different requirements for each level, which determine how much you can earn.

For instance, if you want to achieve the Star level, you need to generate and maintain 80 PV or 240 RPV a month. You should also refer and maintain one retail customer who orders at least 40 RPV a month and generate 1250 GV a month. If you do all that, you can earn up to $1250 a month.

Moving up the ladder, the Bronze level requires you to bring in and maintain two retail customers who each bring in at least 40 RPV a month. You also need to generate 2500 GV a month to earn up to $2500 a month.

As you progress through the levels, the requirements become more challenging, but the rewards become more lucrative. For example, at the highest level, the Triple Crown Ambassador, you need to maintain 80 PV or 240 RPV a month, recruit eight customers who each bring in 40 RPV a month, and generate 2,000,000 GV to earn unlimited income potential.

It’s important to note that PV isn’t counted when determining calculation volume, except for the Happier and Happiest Packs. Also, Crown Ambassadors and higher have no income cap, which is pretty sweet.

Lastly, retail commissions range from 10% to 20%, and the exact amount depends on the difference between the wholesale and retail price of products.

How to Join Happy Coffee?

If you’re interested in becoming an affiliate, you might be wondering about the different membership options. The basic affiliate membership costs $49, but they also offer two optional pack memberships: the Happier Pack for $299 and the Happiest Pack for $549.

While the basic membership provides you with all the essential tools and resources to start earning commissions, the optional pack memberships come with some awesome additional benefits. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Happier Pack: This pack includes extra training materials, marketing resources, and access to exclusive webinars. You’ll also get a free ticket to the annual affiliate conference, where you can connect with other affiliates and learn from industry experts.
  • Happiest Pack: In addition to everything included in the Happier Pack, the Happiest Pack also gives you a dedicated account manager, priority support, and a higher commission rate on all sales.

Final Verdict

If you’re looking for a way to earn extra cash, The Happy Co operates on a multi-level marketing (MLM) model, which means you can make money by selling products and recruiting others to join the business. The more people you bring in, and the more they bring in, the more money you can earn.

But, remember that The Happy Co is an MLM business, so it’s important to have realistic expectations and not expect to make a fortune overnight.
