Freemote Review – Scam or Legit? Truth Exposed!

Are you looking for a Freemote review? If you want to make money online, you might have heard of Freemote. But you may wonder if it is a scam.

I have a passion to help people explore money-making opportunities online. Over the years, I have reviewed many programs like Freemote.

In the past week, I have done thorough research about Freemote so I can tell you more about it.

As a disclaimer, I’m not affiliated with Freemote. It means I’m not paid to write this review. So you can be sure that my words are unbiased.

At the end of this review, I’ll also tell you a better alternative that has enabled me to make a full-time passive income online.

In this Freemote review, I’m going to cover the following.

Who Is Aaron Jack And Jan Frey?

Freemote was created by Aaron Jack and Jan Frey. There isn’t too much information out there about these two.

According to Aaron, he learned programming at an online boot camp for nearly $18,000.

He then got a job as a web developer at Uber.

The YouTube channel where he produces coding videos currently has more than 200,000 subscribers.

Although he is less known, Jan Frey has a lot of experience with Shopify agencies.

What Does Freemote Teach?

For those who want to learn how to programme and create websites, there is Freemote.

Aaron and Jan have decided to focus all their attention on Shopify.

Since e-commerce is thriving and Shopify is the most used platform for online business, I can understand what they are trying to do.

They also believe it is the shortest path to financial independence.

We can attribute this to two factors:

  • Shopify and eCommerce jobs abound at Upwork (more than other codes).
  • For the sake of your career, it’s best to focus on a single area of expertise.

Do you think it’s likely that programming skills will help you find a job?

Certainly.

But the idea that you can earn a six-figure sum JOB while sitting at home in your pyjamas all day is, well, a myth.

In my opinion, very few people achieve that goal.

It might be a nice side hustle, but I doubt it’ll be worth it for the vast majority of people.

Can You Really Make Money In Coding?

Code knowledge is increasingly valued by many members of my generation.

The reason is that knowledge of programming can open countless doors for you in the job market.

It’s important to take your work seriously, whether you are working for a company or freelancing.

If you invest in your education and training, you can charge more for your services.

Freemote Pricing

Freemote is priced at $1659.

A coding bootcamp can cost anywhere from $30,000 to $50,000. Does Freemote provide the same level of training as one of the 9-month bootcamps? Actually, no.

But if you really want to work as a Shopify developer on the side, it might be worth it. Just don’t expect to earn six figures as a Shopify expert anytime soon.

Positive and Negative Feedback From Students of Freemote

Positive Feedback

  • The course specializes in coding for Shopify and eCommerce, not just general coding.
  • The price is pretty fair compared to other coding courses that show how to make money online.
  • 30 days is a reasonable amount of time for a refund.

Negative Feedback

  • Training necessary: I think you need more training than just this course to get lucrative jobs.
  • Programming is a skill that requires serious study and practice to master.

Is Freemote a Scam or Legit?

Freemote course is definitely not a scam.

It’s a serious course by two people who are experts in the coding industry, and it’s possible to make money with freelance coding.

Learning to program is one of the biggest mantras of my generation. It seems like there are a million programming jobs out there, and programming is a valuable skill.

However, you should invest in a college degree if you want to get a good job so you can charge more for your services.

In fact, programming is a difficult way to make money online. It takes a lot of time to learn it.

There are other alternatives that you can use to build an online business and earn passive income.

  1. Apply for Freemote at your own risk. I asked for a refund several times and was ignored. They keep your credit card information and charge you without notice.

    • Hi Chris

Aaron Jack here founder of Freemote.

We use standard payment processors (Stripe, PayPal) with buyer protection — and we refund all of our students 100% of what they have paid as soon as they send an email to our support email address.

The only time we re-bill students is when they are on a monthly payment plan — never more than the exact payment plan they sign up for, or without notice.

We do our best to respond to absolutely everyone and process refunds within 24 hours.

Chris, if you are legitimately our former student, I sincerely apologize for any communication issues that may have occurred between you and our operations team.

      • I came across freemote yesterday and have been doing research, because this is something I’m very interested in doing. As someone who is a bootcamp graduate struggling to get my first job in tech with no history of work experience in the field. My only concern is the price.

I know when this originally started the price was $750 and it has gone up since due to hiring mentors, programmers to help review your code, coaching, and time from Aaron and Jan. Upon speaking with a mentor yesterday, via google meet, I was told the program is now priced at 4k. I would receive a discount of $1,500 which expires today at midnight. This leaves me with having to make a rushed decision. Which left me feeling skeptical, as I could not find a formally listed price prior to speaking with the mentor, who only then gave me a link with the listed price of 4k including my discount.

After reading this article, that was posted 5 days ago, stating the current price of the program is $1,659 I’m not sure what to believe. Additionally while reading through the FAQ, looking for information regarding payments, I found the FAQ clearly states “Out of fairness to students who have already invested in our program, we have just a single price for everyone

This means unfortunately, we don’t hand out discounts on request. (Even if you’re living in a lower income country, a student, or a veteran)

If paying is a challenge, we suggest using the monthly payment plan option at checkout.”

I’ve seen many Reddit posts, including this article, that Aaron Jack does respond to users. So in turn I am hoping that you will respond to me about this program, because I’m still interested but skeptical and I feel like this is a question that should be answered to the general public.

  2. I was hooked until I read the amount for this boot camp. I wished they offered the ability to pay as you earn that is not set up on a monthly subscription. I feel they need to stand behind thier beliefs of high earning potentials and create a way to pay per job landed. Not sure if that would be at all possible but thier has to be some way to “code-out” this problem.
I heavily rely on reviews before buying a product and or service.
This was also the turning point for me as it lacked luster. I am old school and would rather see daily or weekly reviews that was not from thier video highlights of current and prior students.
I would re-consider joining if they were able to design a way to pay per job landed. They would actually be paid faster on thier tuition. I would most definitely be posting daily and weekly reviews on thier behalf of my positive experiences.
