What Is Course From Scratch?
In just 8 weeks, you’ll learn everything you need to know to create and sell your own online course.
The training program is hosted on the Teachables platform, which they also recommend you use to jumpstart your training.
The advertising page claims that it costs nothing to create a course. The first three months are free, but after that it will cost you $97 every month. The good thing is that you keep $197 in your pocket. The first month of using Teachables is free.
You get detailed instructions on how to develop and publish your own course within 60 days.
You’ll also become part of a closed group where you can share ideas with other educators working on similar materials.
The other supposedly priceless item is a 7-day email list building course.
On the other hand, there are group coaching calls that are comparable to large webinars where you can get answers to your questions and guidance on how to launch your course.

Who is Danielle Leslie?
Danielle Leslie is an online entrepreneur, who sells courses.
She claims to earn millions of dollars by creating and selling courses. But those numbers are just the sales revenue which has not taken into account the ad cost.
Very likely she has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on paid ads to promote her course.
Danielle Leslie has a YouTube channel which has about 10.2K subscribers. However, it seems that she has abandoned the channel. There are only a few videos which were posted many years ago. I watched the videos and didn’t get any business insights.
On Facebook, she has about 55k followers. She is quite active on Facebook page where she has updates from time to time. But the engagement rate is quite low.

What’s Inside Course From Scratch?
There are many modules in Danielle Leslie’s courses, but for the purposes of this review of Danielle Leslie’s Course From Scratch, we will focus on the first five.
The bonus module is, of course, crucial, because it makes it much easier to earn substantial amounts of money.
This is quite simply the most poorly organized course I have ever seen. It looks like the data was included just for the sake of it.
As you will see, the course is not organized in any particular way. You will find that this course on Teachable is really complicated to navigate.
The high quality and usefulness of the knowledge from Danielle Leslie is undeniable. 75% of the data contained here has tremendous importance, value, ideas and techniques that can make you a lot of money..
The Modules
This Leslie course consists mainly of 5 different modules. Although I probably won’t give you a complete version of each module, I’ll give you an overview.
Let’s take a look:
Module 1
Introduction to the course.
Module 2
Minimum Viable course.
Module 3
Choosing the topic and finding your customers.
Module 4
Creating content.
Module 5
Gaining traffic.
Module 6
Put your plan into action (this isn’t really a module, but rather an overview).
These aren’t the official titles Leslie uses in her course, but they give you a good idea of what you’ll learn in this section.
As the name implies, you’ll create your own course from scratch and offer it to the world through the Teachable platform.
For example, I was wondering how much time it would take to develop a short course and then continually expand it over time (much longer than 60 days).
If you launch a course that isn’t particularly good to begin with (hoping that further revisions would improve things), but it doesn’t go over well with your target audience and receives mostly negative feedback, you might want to think about updating the course before republishing it.
Can you restore people’s trust in you? It’s hard to put into words, let alone analyze. I wish Course of Scratch didn’t work that way.
I also disagree with the session about increasing website traffic, as the information provided is insufficient and would require a significant advertising budget just to break even.
Finally, what disappointed me a lot is that this course teaches you about landing pages, but not how to effectively convert visitors into buyers.
While it’s true that you can find similar information on other websites, are not you paying too much for this program? Given the size of this investment, I expected Leslie to offer more concise information on sales and marketing tactics.
Free Webinar
I have no doubt that a social media ad caught your attention and got you to join our webinar. I know for a fact that Leslie is happy to spend money on these ads to promote her training program.
Part of her marketing strategy includes introducing herself before offering training on how to increase organic website traffic.
In the 15-minute video, she walks you through the structure and details of the course. She explains in detail what you can expect by taking this course.
When I saw the price of $1997, my first reaction was, “Am I getting gold-plated content?” (This is not a rhetorical question, but rather a reflection of my own inner monolog).
She uses gigantic sales figures from those years to pique your interest, but hold on: all that glitters is not gold. The truth is, she does not reveal how much she invested or how much she got back, and that’s extremely unfair.
Bonus Module
A bonus module is exactly what it sounds like: a module that offers bonuses on top of what you already receive. To help you increase your sales and earnings, this module offers you a few useful tools.
Live calls, frequent Q&A sessions and webinars are available, but attendance is not required.
It may be that these live calls have not been used for some time and there is no information about this practice.
You’ll have access to a variety of useful tools, and there’s even a free trial that can save you money in the end.

Course From Scratch Pricing
Course From Scratch is not cheap. It costs $2,000, which I know not many people can afford.
Remember, it doesn’t mean you can start making money after paying $2,000. You still need to incur a huge cost in setting your website, creating your cost and advertisement.
There is no guarantee that you can make the money back. Actually, I think the course is overpriced. The information in the course is available on YouTube or elsewhere for free.
If you don’t like the course and want to get a refund, they claim that you have a 30-day money-back guarantee, but I’m not sure if they will actually deliver their promise. So don’t make a payment if you are not sure.
Refund Policy
In order to receive a refund, you must demonstrate that you’ve completed all of the services required in the course within the specified 30 days, including attending the course, completing the work, scheduling and dating your work, traffic, and failing.
If you sell a course for $1,997, I think that’s a pretty flimsy guarantee.
Can You Make Money With Course From Scratch?
Developing online courses is a viable option to earn income from home.
But many people find it difficult to deal with all the responsibilities that come with coaching.
It’s doable to make a living as a coach, but there is an easier and better way to make money online, which I will tell you at the end of this review.

Positive and Negative Feedback From the Students of Course From Scratch
Positive Feedback
- Course creation is a simple process that can be changed quickly.
- If you invest the money all at once, you have an advantage, Danielle Leslie said.
- If you want to teach others, this is an excellent option.
- It’s a business you can start from the comfort of your own home.
- Teachable offers two free months for this course, which is also when you will start your course.
- After the two free months are up, you will be charged $99 per month. That comes out to a savings of $200.
Negative Feedback
- It’s expensive and overpriced (I do not like overpriced items).
- It’s quite unfair to pay $2000 and not get sufficient guidance on how to increase traffic.
- It is very theoretical; it can only teach you how to build a course, but what about where to sell it?
- Remember, even if you have the best, it’s useless if it does not reach the target audience! This should also apply to the course from scratch.

Who Is Course From Scratch For?
If you think that anyone can build an online business with this and make money, let me prove you wrong.
You’d have to be filthy rich to spend that kind of money on a course, but if you’re, this is a great option. It’s designed for someone who’s determined to be financially successful on the internet at any cost.
Don’t get me wrong, you can invest a lot of money, but you also need a lot of time. After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and you won’t get rich overnight either.
Is Danielle Leslie’s Course From Scratch a Scam?
I cannot say Danielle Leslie is a scam. At least, there is no sufficient evidence to prove that.
However, I am quite suspicious about the course because it is overpriced and overhyped. The numbers or testimonials she shows you are exaggerated and not realistic.
It’s more like a sales tactic to convince people to buy the course. Therefore, I’m not sure if those testimonials are just fabricated or not.
Moreover, Course From Scratch is not suitable for newbies in online business. Actually selling courses is more difficult than you thought.
You have to build a relationship and earn the trust of people before you can successfully sell a course. Many people who are successful in selling courses are influencers, who have a million of followers on social media, which takes years to grow.
Also, you have to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in running Facebook ads in order to sell a course. This is very risky as you might not be able to cover the ad cost and result in a net loss.
Therefore, I wouldn’t recommend Course From Scratch to anyone.
Instead, if you are new to online business, I have a better recommendation for you. This alternative has enabled me to make a 4-5 figure passive income. You will learn how to build a digital asset step-by-step.
In the next section, I will tell you more about this so that you can start making passive income today.

Course From Scratch Review: Final Verdict
Course From Scratch is not a scam, but it’s also not nearly as interesting as it seems. It’s a reputable program, but it’s not for everyone.
The question now is whether or not you should invest in this course. In my opinion, it is significantly too expensive and overpriced for no good reason.
It’s easy to get seduced by Danielle Leslie’s enticing numbers, but at some point you have to face the fact that the real world is full of unpleasant realities.
All those ads and statistics are just a scam to get your money.
Nothing is for sure. So if you are going to invest that much money, be prepared to take big risks and swim in the loss pool.
There is a lot more money at stake than just the initial $1997. You also have to put a lot of money into social media ads, and if you do not know what you are doing, you can easily lose that amount or more if you have no experience in this field.
So I don’t recommend it and I have a better recommendation for you to make money online. Read on.
