As a disclaimer, I’m not affiliated with ConnectRN. It means I’m not paid to write this review. So you can rest assured that you will get an honest and unbiased review from me.
At the end of this review, I’ll also tell you the best alternative to ConnectRN that has enabled me to make a full-time passive income online.

Is ConnectRN a Scam or Legit?
There are both positive and negative reviews for the app, which was rated 3.8 on the App Store, 3.7 on Google Play, 3.7 on Indeed, and 4.7 on Comparably.
The vast majority of nurses and CNAs gave the app positive reviews because it provides a wealth of information for those looking to advance their careers. Hourly pay is above average, and the workplace is pleasant.
However, some medical staff members have expressed concern about the large number of patients assigned to each nurse. In addition, several CNAs have complained that pay for last-minute shifts is inadequate relative to the effort required. In general, ConnectRN is a reputable and trustworthy platform.

ConnectRN Reviews and Complaints
Member feedback on ConnectRN, as with other companies, is mixed. Fortunately, they are more optimistic.
ConnectRN is a well-rated app on the Apple App Store, with an average user rating of 4.0 stars.
On Google Play, the app has an average rating of 3.5 stars (also out of 5). App-specific issues (freezing, GPS not working, etc.) account for most of the criticism on the Play Store, rather than Google itself.
Nevertheless, people continue to vent their frustrations about the income, lack of layers, etc. Vent.
On review sites like Indeed, where they now have an average rating of 3.7 out of 5, you can also find concerns like:
- Accepting an institution’s complaint and blocking your account for lack of evidence.
- Support is difficult to reach.
- Paychecks have not been received.
- Cancellations of shifts
- There are no benefits or paid time off.
Again, I cannot verify the truth of each complaint, but I have no reason to doubt that some are valid.
Unfortunately, not every member’s opinion is reflected in the overall rating. Each rater is represented only by themselves. Also, dissatisfied customers are much more inclined to write a review than satisfied customers.
While there may be hundreds of ConnectRN members who have something to complain about, they certainly do not represent the thousands of health professionals who eagerly accept new shifts (and have not left a review).
However, there are also many positive testimonials. These positive comments from members:
- Good compensation and flexibility
- Free scrubs and hoodies
- The software makes it easy to plan and schedule your workday.
- Shifts canceled at the last minute are compensated at 4 hours.

Sites Like ConnectRN
ConnectRN vs. Doordash
Doordash, unlike ConnectRN, is a food delivery service that relies on third-party vendors. Doordash, like ConnectRN, pays its drivers through direct bank transactions.
Doordash’s payment schedule is weekly, but ConnectRN allows you to request payments daily. ConnectRN offers higher wages, from $17 to $43 per hour, than Doordash, which pays $25 per hour. Apps like Doordash and ConnectRN are great ways to earn extra money on the side.
ConnectRN vs. Grubhub
One of the most popular apps for ordering food and having it delivered is Grubhub. In contrast, ConnectRN serves as a hub for nurses to find new jobs and career paths. With both ConnectRN and Grubhub, it is possible to set your own schedule.
Compared to ConnectRN, whose hourly pay ranges from $17 to $43, Grubhub’s pay is more manageable at $10 to $15. You can sign up with Grubhub the same way you do with ConnectRN: for free and without obligation while you wait for approval.
ConnectRN vs. GoPuff
GoPuff is a sharing economy app that lets you order food and other consumables from a store of your choice. Like ConnectRN, GoPuff offers you the opportunity to earn money online in a serious way.
GoPuff’s main focus is on food delivery, while ConnectRN hires nurses and matches them with jobs. Both websites are free to join, but they target different audiences and have different requirements for using their services. While GoPuff is an app that delivers food, ConnectRN helps nurses find jobs.
ConnectRN vs. ZipRecruiter
Similar to ConnectRN, ZipRecruiter is also based in the United States. ZipRecruiter is a marketplace for finding jobs of all kinds, while ConnectRN targets only those seeking healthcare work.
Also, ConnectRN hires people who work for the company, while ZipRecruiter is a job board that lists open positions from various companies.
ConnectRN vs. FlexJobs
FlexJobs is a job board for caregivers that works similarly to ConnectRN. Unlike ConnectRN, FlexJobs is a staffing company that advertises open positions in companies across all industries.
ConnectRN vs. IntelyCare
IntelyCare is a direct competitor to ConnectRN, unlike the other options listed below. IntelyCare, like ConnectRN, actively seeks qualified nursing candidates across the country.
The prices that both companies charge are comparable. Unlike IntelyCare, ConnectRN offers a collegial workplace and management that values nurses’ professional development.
ConnectRN Review: Final Verdict
You can trust ConnectRN to provide a reliable platform where you can find a variety of well-paying assignments and participate in consistent training and development opportunities that will help you grow professionally.
The hourly rate for nursing assistants ranges from $17 to $21, and the hourly rate for registered nurses is $43. ConnectRN is a reliable employer, even though it does not offer benefits to its employees.
