1. BUCKROE BEACH AND PARK

Buckroe Beach and Park is a beach park in Hampton where visitors can enjoy themselves. The entire Atlantic Ocean can be seen when looking across the mouth of Chesapeake Bay. 

Three picnic shelters with nine tables and one grill, an observation pier with a shelter, and a stage pavilion for community events, private events, and entertainment are available at the park. 

Large bathrooms with outdoor showers are located near the playground, and there is plenty of open space all year. Buckroe Beach and Park offers hot food to go, ice cream, cold drinks, snacks, and bags of ice.

2. GOSNOLD’S HOPE PARK

Hampton’s Gosnold’s Hope Park is a lovely riverside park. It is the City of Hampton’s second largest built-up park. There are nine picnic areas, 16 RV/camping sites, a fitness trail, a public boat ramp with kayak launch, and football fields at the park. 

Baseball, soccer, a playground for kids of all ages, and a fitness area with equipment for people with special needs are all available at the park. Gosnold’s Hope Park has picnic shelters with tables and grills that can be reserved. The park is open to the public and free to enter.
