I have a passion to help people explore the best money-making opportunities online, so over the years, I have reviewed hundreds of similar online programs like Arise Work From Home.
In the past week, I have done thorough research about the Arise Work From Home, so I can tell you everything you need to know about it.
As a disclaimer, I’m not affiliated with Arise Work From Home, which means I’m not paid to write this review for Arise Work From Home. So you can be sure that my words are unbiased.
In this Arise Work From Home review, I’m going to cover the following in this review:
What is Arise Work From Home?
Clients like AT&T, Disney, and Intuit can outsource their customer service and support needs to Arise Virtual Solutions through a virtual call center.
The company was founded in 1994 and is based out of Florida. Through their virtual call center, you can work from home as an Arise agent.
Training, call center infrastructure (software and support), and a network of reputable clients are all provided by these companies.
In the work-from-home environment of Arise, agents spend their days (and/or nights) answering phones, resolving customer service issues, and sometimes responding to clients via email or chat.
What Type Of Jobs Does Arise Work From Home Offer?
You provide the service and Arise connects you with the clients. Here are the categories you can choose from:
- Home Improvement Supplier
- Grocery Delivery Retailer
- Cable and Internet Provider
- Cruise Lines
- Roadside Assistance
- Major Theme Parks
- Sporting Goods Provider
You can basically choose the opportunity that best suits your skills, desires, schedule, etc.
As a Service Partner or simply put, a customer service agent, you’ll become a Service Partner once you pass the requirements and the training.
Basically, you’ll answer the phone for your employer and mostly provide customer service. You have a choice of several categories.
It does not mean that you will be employed by Arise. The opposite is true. You will be on your own after passing all the requirements.
Essentially, you will have the opportunity to choose the work that is most suitable for you.
As a freelancer, you can work from home as a customer support agent through this platform.
It is true that Arise offers legitimate jobs. I admit there have been some scams so far, but this platform isn’t one of them.
They have worked with companies such as Carnival Cruises, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Intuit.
Here’s the company’s official video:
How Does Arise Work From Home Work?
With any work-at-home customer service business, you provide customer service or sales to different companies. With Arise, you are assisting their clients directly.
Arise is employed by a number of popular companies for their customer care staffing needs.
Businesses instead of hiring directly contact Arise, and Arise provides the employees and handles all the training.
Your job will differ depending on the client, but you can expect telephone support and possibly even email/chat support.
Arise is one of the businesses with many customers who need assistance with chat and email jobs, which are hard to come by.
It can be difficult to get started with Arise. It can take up to several weeks from the moment you apply to the time you’re making money.
How to Join Arise Work From Home?
The Registration Process
To apply, you must pass a voice assessment that tests your basic abilities.
After they give you the thumbs up, you will have to order a background check (which you must pay for) and sign a nondisclosure agreement.
Then, Arise requires you register as an LLC (also on your own dime), and set up a separate bank account for business purposes.
Although it may be a pain in the process, you’ll need to do these things anyway if you’re going to make a living from home.
Arise differs from the other work from home opportunities in that they require payment up-front.
If your computer does not meet the minimum specifications, you will need to purchase computer equipment, set up a dedicated phone line, and take their training program.
Requirements of Application
Except for being 18 and residing in Canada, the U.S. or the UK. Arise does not require any specific experience or education.
There are financial and equipment requirements, however.
Your computer must meet minimum specifications before you can set up your virtual call center. In addition to specialized equipment, you’ll need a high-quality headset with a microphone and a dedicated phone line.
You will also need a high-speed internet connection, but most likely you have one already.
You will need a quiet, distraction-free workspace since you’ll be taking customer service calls.
What is the Cost of Joining Arise Work From Home?
In order to register with Arise, you have to integrate yourself as a business.
They only contract with companies that are incorporated, so you must go through the process of making an independent business first. This will cost you approximately $100.
You will also have to pay for a variety of other expenses to get started with Arise. They have provided an overview of how much it will cost you to get started (note that they have included the incorporation fee):
- National Background Check Fee ($12.95 in many states, $25.95 within CA, NV, MA, CO, SD, or VT)
- Incorporation (around $100)
- High-Speed Internet access ($ 50/month)
- Dedicated Phone Line ($18-30/month)
- Phone Equipment ($35-100)
- Basic Certification Program CSP101 ($99)
Except for the Basic Certification Program fee, which is paid to Arise, all of the above fees are given to third parties.
Additionally, you will see above that you will need a separate telephone line to use only for work, so using your home phone line is not an option. It will be necessary to purchase a line solely for work.
In addition, Arise charges all independent business owner-employees $19.75 per month for service. They won’t deduct this fee until you’re actually working and earning money.
What is the purpose of this fee? The reason for this is the infrastructure Arise provides, including accounting services, scheduling systems, and 24-hour help desks.
Most people have a problem with this. You can start working from home without spending any money. As a starting online freelancer, that makes Arise difficult to justify.
How Much Are You Paid at Arise?
At the end of the day, this is what matters. The pay varies depending on the employer or client.
When you work on a customer support team, Arise generally pays you for the time spent on customer support. It has been reported that wages can reach $19/hour. The safe assumption would be to assume that the average wage is $10/hour.
Simply put, don’t base your budget and purchases on a $19/hour wage.
You will be paid twice a month by direct deposit.
Arise Work From Home Pros
1. Clients Are Referred To You By Arise
The most difficult part of working for yourself is finding clients. Arise takes care of everything else. You just set your working hours, accept your job offers, and get paid.
This is a fantastic way to find legit work from home opportunities straight from your couch because they have organized and structured the process so well.
2. Arise Is Well Established
In order to determine whether Arise is a scam or legit, it’s important to learn more about the background of the company, which I have done.
The company has been in business since 1994, so it is well-established and trustworthy.
There are a lot of companies turning to Arise because their contractors are highly trained, well equipped, and a great addition to their companies.
3. You Can Choose Which Clients To Work With
Having your own business is one of the best things about it. Having multiple clients is possible with Arise.
One of the things I like about Arise is their flexibility when choosing clients.
You can pick clients from several categories depending on your schedule, skills, needs, experience, and many other factors.
Your work is completely flexible this way.
4. Arise Helps To Set Up a Fully Legitimate Business
Arise will help you to create a real LLC business.
Starting from the beginning, you are going legit and for real.
This may seem like a pain, but they’re actually very helpful. If you run your business as an LLC and have a separate business account for your finances, you’re forced to separate your business money from your personal money – which will make this part of your taxes much easier and benefit you greatly if you deal with the IRS.
Other self-employment setups do not offer some of the tax benefits that LLCs do.
For more information, speak with a tax professional. But trust me – if you stick with it long term, the tax savings will almost certainly pay off for you!
5. Arise Can Provide You With All The Training You Need
Arise offers a lot of training in addition to great service.
In most cases, work-from-home sites just provide links to jobs, which is why most of them are scams.
You won’t have to worry about not getting help or service from this website.
6. Arise Is A Home-Based Business Opportunity
Arise gives you the flexibility you need by letting you choose your own hours. Many companies offer incentives for people who work third shifts – and if that is what’s best for you, you can work that shift.
Just remember to stick to your schedule once you’ve set it. You can’t take a nap between 10am and 5pm when you’re expected to be working!
7. You Can Hire People To Work For You at Arise
If and when your business grows, you will be able to hire people to work for you on the Arise platform.
Basically, you can open your own small customer service office.
Arise Work from Home Cons and Complaints
There is no doubt that Arise isn’t for everyone. Consider these reasons before taking the plunge:
1. Your Schedule May Not Be Very Flexible
Work-at-home call center jobs like Arise aren’t very different from others. Clients usually require a minimum number of hours per week from you.
Some of those hours might be at weekends or in the evenings. When you are the last to bid for a shift, you may not have the flexibility you desire. You may have to put in additional hours if you have more than one client.
2. Competition is Intense
You will have to compete with other workers and members for these jobs.
Additionally, there are claims that jobs are restricted to short periods and inconvenient hours.
3. Arise Training Costs Money
They charge for their training, and this is one of the reasons why Arise has a bad reputation.
I always like to test drive a product or service before spending any money on it.
However, most work-from-home companies – like this one – don’t offer free training.
As a result, you cannot use this training to advance your home-based career outside of Arise. It is only useful for the client you work for. There are many other companies that will train you for free.
Often, you will be paid for your time. Arise training is usually unpaid and typically lasts several weeks.
4. There Are Monthly Maintenance Fees For Working At Arise
They aren’t much – about $40/month – but there is a fee to remain a member of Arise. It’s for their “infrastructure,” which means their software and overhead/admin costs.
5. When You Take Into Account The Costs, The Rates Are Low
The average hourly wage is between $10 and $14. You will also have to pay a monthly fee plus training fees, which is comparable to most remote customer service jobs.
6. Arise is only available in the US, Canada and the UK
I’m afraid you will not be able to work for Arise if you live somewhere else. You may also be excluded by your state.
This opportunity is only available in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Having access to the platform in other countries would be much more beneficial.
I’m sure there are other companies and people who would like to work from home in the EU, Africa, Asia, and Australia as well.
7. The Work At Arise May Be Seasonal
There are always going to be clients coming and going at a call center, it is the nature of the business.
In general, you will probably have work available to you all year long, but you might not always have interesting work.
8. The Startup Process Is Slow
I also didn’t appreciate how long the startup process took.
It seems to take a long time for your papers to undergo a checkup, and I’m not sure why.
9. You are Required to Invest In Equipment
Invest some money into technology and equipment before you can start accepting jobs from Arise database.
Despite the fact that it’s not a big deal, it does come at a cost.
10. Arise Charge Recurring Fee To Keep Access To Jobs
Another thing I don’t like about this platform is that you will be charged recurring fees if you want access to the database.
Although I understand that they must charge something, this just adds to the tally.
Arise Work From Home Positive and Negative Feedbacks by Real Users
Arise Work From Home Positive Feedbacks
- You will get clients through Arise. Therefore, you won’t have to find an employer.
- Choosing your clients is one of the perks of being an independent contractor.
- You are more than just an employee. You are a legitimate business if you follow business requirements.
- The training offered by Arise is comprehensive.
Arise Work From Home Negative Feedbacks
- The price is really high. There is also training to pay for.
- The maintenance fee is $40 per month.
- Getting started isn’t easy.
- When you factor in the costs, you will get relatively lower rates.
- Arise is only available in the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States.
- Low earning potential, high start-up costs, and monthly fees.
- No restrictions on hiring. It’s akin to McDonald’s selling unlimited franchises without caring that 10 franchises on the same block will compete for the same customers.
- Unpaid time for several weeks.
Who is Arise Work From Home For?
Any freelance customer service agent looking for a way to work from home may check out Arise.
Arise will provide all the training you need to start your own customer service business, so you do not need any special skills or degrees to do so.
This could be used for:
- Parents who stay at home
- People looking for side jobs
- Those interested in starting a home-based CS business
You must, however, be a citizen of either the United States, the United Kingdom, or Canada.
You must also be flexible with your working hours. The webpage of Arise Work From Home states that you can choose your own hours and work whenever you want. That’s not exactly true.
You will receive a specific schedule, which means that you can only work during the hours that they set for you.
Is Arise Work From Home a Scam?
Arise Work From Home is not a scam.
Certainly, there are some who claim that Arise is a scam, but it’s a little loose in how they use the word scam.
Those who believe Arise is a work-from-home job will clearly call it a scam since you do not have to invest any money with a regular job.
In this case, we’re not talking about someone taking your money and disappearing into the night.
However, there is a problem with Arise in that it costs a lot to start, and there is no guarantee that you will be able to earn enough money from it.
At the beginning, there is also a lot of unpaid time.
You are not an Arise employee. They refer to you as a contractor.
Contractors are responsible for their own expenses (such as equipment and training).
Being a part of Arise is like buying a mini-franchise. Their services include the courses, the software, and central support, as well as marketing (a network of clients) but they charge for these services.
The business may be yours, but you aren’t the boss, as with most franchises. Franchisees are strictly controlled by the franchisor over what they can and cannot do.
It’s legit, but it’s certainly not for everyone.
This probably isn’t the job for you if you’re looking for a regular income and benefits.
Arise Work From Home Review: Final Verdict
Unless you can comfortably afford Arise, I cannot recommend it. This is especially true when there are so many free work at home opportunities available.
But calling them a scam is also unfair.
With Arise, you can pursue a full-time freelance strategy. Don’t limit yourself to Arise alone.
You can also fill in your schedule with similar gigs like Teletech and Liveops when you have downtime if you are setting up an LLC and purchasing equipment anyway.
Another effective way to maximize efficiency and justify working from home is to invest some time into a passive income business.
In the next section, I will tell you how to build an online business that can generate passive income for you and you will be your own boss.

Arise Work From Home Review FAQs
1. Is Working For Arise Worth It?
With Arise, you can work from home because it simply makes sense to do so in the long run.
You might want to look for a remote job with a regular call center (or do something else entirely) if you’re just looking for a few extra dollars on the side.
However, if you are focused on a work from home job, which could be a long-term career, and you love the idea of working with customers, and you are open to owning your own company and accepting all the responsibilities that come with it, Arise might be the right choice for you.
2. Is Arise BBB Accredited?
Arise or Arise Virtual Solutions are accredited by BBB with a rating of 2.3/5 stars and have an A+ rating.
Arise certainly benefits from the BBB accreditation. The average rating is not something to be proud of, however.
In general, you are not at risk of being scammed. You need to make it worthwhile if you want the opportunity to be legit.
3. Do I Recommend Arise Work From Home?
This is definitely one of the few legitimate work-from-home jobs out there. That does not mean I recommend it.
I personally don’t like these types of jobs. Freedom is more important to me than a fixed schedule.
Nevertheless, Arise Work From Home is a legitimate company that can provide you with legit work if you like the concept behind it.
Establishing your own home office is possible, and you can even hire employees.
4. What are the Arise Work From Home Online Reviews
There have been mixed reviews about Arise. It is completely normal for companies such as this one to get a lot of hot and cold feedback.
Several people say it is a great opportunity for home businesses, while others complain about the service, technical side, overcharging issues, etc.
Again, this is completely normal feedback and should not cause concern.
It’s good to know there haven’t been any reviews calling Arise a scam or anything like that.
The important thing to remember is that this is not a get-rich-quick scheme. Starting a work-from-home business takes a lot of time, effort, and resources.
5. Can You Really Make Money With Arise?
If you’re going to put in the effort and expense to become a contractor of Arise, you might bring in some real money, but don’t expect to earn a lot with it.
