Who Is Alex Fedotoff?
Alex Fedotoff is a marketing guru who teaches eCommerce. He owns a website called Ecommerce Scaling Secrets which offers different eCommerce courses.
He is quite active on YouTube channel. He has around 45.7K subscribers at the time of writing.
Like many gurus selling online courses, Alex Fedotoff makes a lot of bold promises to attract people to enroll in his courses. For example, he claims to make $20 million dollars in 7 months, $5 million dollars on Facebook, $242,000 every month with a strategy, etc.
In other words, Alex Fedotoff is worth at least $20 million (correct me if I’m wrong). If so, why is Alex Fedotoff still working so hard to create YouTube videos to promote his courses instead of retiring?
It doesn’t make sense for a person who makes millions of dollars in a few months to spend the time to create videos just to sell a course.
Actually, I never trust gurus’ bold claims unless they provide concrete evidence to prove their income.
Anyway, let’s take a look at what courses Alex Fedotoff offers.
Recommendation: Here’s The Best Alternative
What Does Alex Fedotoff Offer?
Alex Fedotoff has several offers to help you make money with eCommerce. His main offers are the mentorship program, eCommerce course, and Facebook ads course.
In the following, we’ll take a closer look at his courses:
Ecommerce Scaling Secrets
His eCommerce course is called Ecommerce Scaling Secrets. You have to book a consultation call with Alex Fedotoff in order to sign up for the course. Actually, the consultation call is a sales call to sell you the course.

The overall strategy to building an eCommerce store
- How to set up Shopify and your sales funnels
- Products research
- Facebook ads
- How to fulfil orders
- Bonus: scaling strategies and more Facebook ads training
Facebook CBO course
Alex Fedotoff teaches you how to run Facebook ads using the campaign budget optimisation.
This course covers the following topics:
- Part 1: CBO Pro Testing Cheatsheet

For example, the eCommerce Scaling Secrets course costs $297 without mentorship included.

Who is eCommerce Scaling Secrets for?
The course is best suited for those who want to know how to implement sales funnels into their online business. It is essentially a tutorial on this one specific type of advertising.
It is also a program for those who have enough capital to invest in their business. Depending on the current offer, the course may be cheaper than similar options (even if it is still overpriced in relation to the value offered).
The problem is not in the initial commitment, but in the creation of sales funnels after you have already borne the marketing costs and subscription fees. The price is not cheap and varies depending on the channels you use and the number of customers you hope to attract.
Positive and Negative Feedback From Students of Alex Fedotoff Course
Positive Feedback
- You can learn the basics of eCommerce from Alex Fedotoff
Negative Feedback
- Alex Fedotoff’s courses are not cheap
- The courses quality is not the best on the market. Many important topics are not covered
- Alex Fedotoff teaches you how to drive traffic by Facebook ads but not others, which is not enough to build a sustainable business.
- Alex Fedotoff likes to show off luxuries to sell you the dream of becoming rich, but it’s not realistic at all.
- There is no refund policy, which you cannot get a refund after making payment. Most of the courses I have reviewed have at least 14 to 30 days of money-back guarantee. Having no refunds is a red flag.
- No verified success stories of students
Is Alex Fedotoff a Scam or Legit?
Alex Fedotoff is a legit marketing guru. He is not a scam. However, I don’t recommend his courses because he makes a lot of unrealistic income claims.
If he really makes so many millions of dollars with eCommerce, he won’t spend so much time selling you a course. Why didn’t he just focus on eCommerce and retire in a few years? His claims make me feel like he is very misleading.
Moreover, the training in Alex Fedotoff is just mediocre, meaning there are no special or unique strategies covered. Many important topics like Facebook ads are not detailed enough and hence you will feel very confused.
Therefore, I don’t recommend Alex Fedotoff’s eCommerce courses if you want to make money online.
Moreover, Alex Fedotoff doesn’t tell you the difficulties of eCommerce because he is trying to sell you his course.
If you are new to online business, you have to understand why eCommerce is more difficult than you thought.

Is Ecommerce Scaling Secrets Worth It?
I did eCommerce before, so I can tell you that Ecommerce Scaling Secrets is not worth it. Why is it so? Because eCommerce has become increasingly difficult.
If you want to build a 6 figure eCommerce business, you need to shed some blood, sweat, and tears to figure out how it works.
It is not as easy as Alex Fedotoff claims.
Here are a few points why it’s hard to make money with eCommerce, even with the help of Alex Fedotoff’s course:
1. Financial Risk
Your eCommerce store won’t sell ANYTHING if you don’t ADVERTISE. But Facebook ads costs are skyrocketing and will eat away at your PROFITS. You might need weeks or even months to just break even, before seeing any profit.
In another word, you have to take a huge FINANCIAL RISK in eCommerce.
So don’t expect to earn back the money you paid for Ecommerce Scaling Secrets.
2. Facebook ads are Pricey and Difficult
After observing most eCommerce stores’ results, at best, the total Facebook ad cost will account for at least 30% of your total sales.
But Facebook ads seldom stay effective for too long. Once your ad has exhausted the audience, it becomes ineffective. Your total revenue will be much lower and even result in a net loss.
According to Forbes, Facebook saw an increase in Ad costs of 90% year-on-year.
Worse still, the learning curve of Facebook ads is quite steep because Facebook changes its algorithm all the time. You have to invest a lot of time and money in learning and testing Facebook Ads.
If you run Facebook ads without any experience, your ad account will be banned for violating their strict policies.
Unfortunately, Ecommerce Scaling Secrets only focuses on teaching you how to run Facebook ads. It doesn’t go into much detail about getting free traffic.
3. Customer Support
In eCommerce, you have to spend a lot of time communicating with suppliers and dealing with customer service.
If your customer has any issues with the product, you have to wait for your supplier to help you. If your supplier is not helpful, you have to bear the loss yourself. Therefore, many eCommerce stores have poor customer review and have no returning customers.
In the worst case, you would expect a lot of credit card chargebacks, which risk getting your payment gateway shut down.
4. A lot of work on product research
Running an e-commerce business is not as easy as Alex Fedotoff would have you believe.
For your store to keep making money, you always need to find a product that has the momentum to go viral in order that the ad costs can be covered.
In eCommerce, most products reach their peak in 1-2 months or even weeks. This is because many competitors will steal your product and create a better ad. Or increase their budgets on Facebook ads to outbid you.
Therefore, you need to keep finding new replacements to keep generating cash flow.
You might see people post revenues online but they don’t tell you the net revenue.
Some of them might be making money but it’s not sustainable.
The eCommerce business model is not as passive as you think. Most people who succeed in eCommerce are doing it full time because it requires you to keep finding new products, creating new stores, testing new ads and looking for new suppliers to make your income stable.

Ecommerce Scaling Secrets Review: Final Verdict
I do not recommend taking this course. Spending more than a few hundred dollars on it would be excessive.
I’ll be honest and say that I have taken some of these dropshipping “expert” courses, and I have found that many of them are quite expensive, but offer very little real value.
These people are always trying to sell you something, be it a fantasy or a way of life, but they never give you any information that would actually be helpful.
Even though many self-proclaimed “dropshipping gurus” make it out to be so, the reality is that this business model takes time and patience to succeed. That explains why their lessons are so expensive.
If you want to make money online, I have a better recommendation for you in the next section.

Yes, I would suggest you get started with affiliate marketing. It is far easier and less time-consuming as you don’t even need to handle customer service.
